A heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) system includes an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device between the condenser and the evaporator, a superheat controller between the evaporator and the compressor, and a mass flow meter between the condenser and the expansion device. The superheat controller is configured to measure refrigerant fluid pressure and temperature and calculate superheat therefrom, to receive and analyze a mass flow rate of the refrigerant fluid traveling out of the condenser and measured by the mass flow meter, and further configured to provide a control signal to the expansion device.
Utilizing wet fracturing sand for hydraulic fracturing operations
A system and a method that utilizes wet proppants when creating fracturing fluid by receiving wet fracturing sand at a surge tank, vibrating the wet fracturing sand located within the surge tank, liquefying the wet fracturing sand within the surge tank based on the vibration, and metering the liquefied wet fracturing sand from the surge tank to a blending tub.
MOTION SENSOR LENS STRUCTURE FOR A BUILDING CONTROLLER
A building controller includes a controller that is operatively coupled to a motion sensor and provides one or more control signals based at least in part on the motion sensed by the motion sensor. A lens member includes a HDPE (high density polyethylene) lens and a lens mounting structure that includes a lens retention hook. A bracket defines an aperture in registration with the motion sensor and further defines a lens securement aperture configured to accommodate the lens retention hook. The bracket may also define a lens securement spring configured to provide a biasing force to the lens retention hook of the lens mounting structure.
Power meter with automatic configuration
A power monitoring system includes a plurality of current sensors suitable to sense respective changing electrical current within a respective conductor to a respective load and a conductor sensing a respective voltage potential provided to the respective load. A power monitors determines a type of circuit based upon a signal from at least one of the current sensors and a signal from the conductor, wherein the type of circuit includes at least one of a single phase circuit, a two phase circuit, and a three phase circuit. The power meter configures a set of registers corresponding to the determined type of circuit in a manner such that the configuring is different based upon each of the single phase circuit, two phase circuit, and three phase circuit suitable to provide data corresponding to the determined type of circuit.
Non-invasive and predictive health monitoring of an aircraft system
A health monitoring system of an aircraft includes a plurality of sensors and interfaces that are non-invasively installed in a system of the aircraft. Further, the health monitoring system includes a data concentrator unit that is coupled to the plurality of sensor and interfaces. The data concentrator unit receives data associated with various components of the aircraft system from the plurality of sensor and interfaces. Responsively, the data concentrator unit processes the received data to generate a single output data stream that is transmitted to a configurable data receiver unit of the aircraft. The configurable data receiver unit transmits the received single output data stream to a ground server and an on-board display to monitor and determine a health and/or performance of the aircraft system.
Tank Temperature Probe with Positional Sensor
A sensor device, system, and method for monitoring the internal pressure and temperature of a refrigerant tank during a recovery operation to control a purge operation of the tank based on the conditions thereof during the recovery operation. The sensor device, system, and method further utilize an external temperature sensor, the external temperature sensor operable to indicate that it is properly positioned on the surface of the tank.
Air flow compensated temperature transmitter and measuring method
The invention relates to an air flow measurement unit for an air flow compensated room temperature transmitter (RTS). The air flow measurement unit comprises a known mass, at least one resistive heating element, a thermistor, at least one heat sink, and data transmission means configured to transmit a resistance signal of the thermistor. The at least one resistive heating element is configured to heat the known mass to an elevated temperature and the thermistor is configured to measure temperature of the heated known mass during cooling for calculation of a cooldown time of the known mass defined based on the measured resistances. The invention further relates to an air flow compensated room temperature transmitter, an air flow measuring method for an air flow measurement unit, an air flow compensated ambient temperature measuring method for an air flow compensated room temperature transmitter and a computer program product.
Airstream sensor devices, systems and methods
Systems/methods for measuring airstream parameters. The methods comprise: measuring a humidity and temperature by sensors of airstream sensor device(s) arranged symmetrically within a single cross-sectional plane of an air flow conveyance structure of an HVAC system; measuring, by absolute pressure sensor(s), a barometric pressure of an atmosphere outside of the air flow conveyance structure; receiving, by a transmitter, humidity measurement values and temperature measurement values from the sensors and barometric pressure value(s) from the absolute pressure sensor(s); computing a velocity weighted temperature value for the airstream based on the temperature measurement values; using the humidity measurement values, the velocity weighted temperature value, and the barometric pressure value to determine a psychrometric property associated with the airstream; and causing operations of the HVAC system, a building automation system or an application controller to be controlled based on the determined psychrometric property.
