SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING CONDITIONS WITHIN A VESSEL
A system and method for regression modeling an interior volume of a containment vessel and interpolating data from multi-point sensor arrays within the containment vessel to detect conditions across the interior volume of the containment vessel.
MACHINE LEARNING ZERO-RATE LEVEL CALIBRATION
One or more embodiments are directed to zero-rate level compensation systems. One such system includes stationary detection circuitry that receives gyroscope signals output by a gyroscope and determines whether the gyroscope is stationary based on the gyroscope signals. The stationary detection circuitry generates a stationary gyroscope signal indicating the gyroscope is stationary based on a determination that the gyroscope is stationary. A temperature sensor senses temperature and outputs temperature signals. Zero-rate level estimation circuitry receives the stationary gyroscope signal and a temperature signal associated with the stationary gyroscope signal, and iteratively estimates one or more zero-rate level compensation parameters based on the stationary gyroscope signal and the temperature signal.
Cognitive Thermal Cable Holder
According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method for managing a data center that is temperature controlled using a thermal management system is disclosed. The method includes collecting ambient temperature data in the data center, collecting server temperature data in servers located in the data center, collecting rack temperature data at server racks located in a data center using rack temperature sensors, wherein each rack temperature sensor is associated with one of the server racks, wherein at least one of the server racks includes at least two of the servers. The method further includes analyzing the ambient temperature data, the server temperature data, and the rack temperature data to discover a cause of a fault in the data center, wherein the cause is selected from the thermal management system, the servers, or the rack temperature sensors, and generating a notification regarding the cause of the fault.
THERMOMETRIC MEASUREMENT BY MESHING OF PROBES, PARTICULARLY IN TURBINE ENGINES
The invention relates to a temperature measurement device comprising at least three probes, a computer, the computer being configured to estimate a temperature on the basis of voltage measurements at the output of the probes, characterised in that the probes are connected together in a plurality of meshes mounted in series, with at least one mesh comprising at least two probes mounted in parallel and at least one other mesh comprising a probe or a plurality of probes mounted in parallel.
Method for estimating time of flight for acoustic pyrometry
A method for estimating a time of flight of an acoustic signal in a hot gas flow path having background noise wherein a plurality of transceivers each generate an acoustic signal. The method includes providing an acoustic signal of interest that travels in a direction opposite a reference acoustic signal on a first acoustic path between a pair of transceivers. The method also includes identifying at least one minimum peak height in the acoustic signal of interest having a peak height that is greater than the background noise. Further, the method includes obtaining time of flight information of other acoustic paths having substantially the same path length as the first path to provide a range of time of flights wherein a time of flight that falls within the time of flight range and is associated with a minimum peak height forms the estimated time of flight.
Tracking and accountability device and system
A tracking and accountability system and apparatus is provided and comprises a command unit and processing unit coupled to a wireless communication network, a first tracking device having a first mobile transceiver in communication with the wireless communication network and coupled to a first set of identification data of a first individual and being operative to transmit signals representing the first individual's location over the wireless communication network to the processing unit, and a second tracking device having a second mobile transceiver and coupled to a second set of identification data of a second individual and being operative to transmit signals representing the second individual's location (i) to the processing unit over the wireless communication network if the second tracking device is within a first distance; and (ii) to the first tracking device if the second tracking device is within the first distance to the first tracking device.
Thermal analysis of temperature data collected from a distributed temperature sensor system for estimating thermal properties of a wellbore
Temperature data collected from a distributed temperature sensing system may be used to prepare a temporal thermal profile of the wellbore. The temporal thermal profile may be used to determine a generalized heat transfer coefficient (k) and/or a generalized geothermal profile (T.sub.ae). The temporal thermal profile and the generalized heat transfer coefficient (k) and/or the generalized geothermal profile (T.sub.ae) may be used to estimate thermal properties of a wellbore, such as well as fluid and flow characteristics. A heat of hydration index may also be determined based on the temporal thermal profile.
System and Method for Monitoring and Controlling Conditions Within a Vessel
A system and method for regression modeling an interior volume of a containment vessel and interpolating data from multi-point sensor arrays within the containment vessel to detect conditions across the interior volume of the containment vessel.
Techniques for laser beam sensing and profiling using temperature-sensitive structures
A system for determining the profile of a laser beam includes a detector having a thermochromic liquid crystal film (TLCF) in thermal communication with a heat spreader and a thermoelectric cooler. The liquid crystal film has a thermochromic response such that heating of the film by a received laser beam creates a detectable color response at the film. The system also includes an image sensor and a controller configured to output an operating current for the TEC and receive images from the sensor. The system can selectively vary the temperature set point of the TEC to change the steady state temperature of the TLCF to examine the full intensity profile of the received beam even when the temperature response bandwidth of the TLCF is too narrow to display the full beam profile in a single color spot.
OSTOMY MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An ostomy bag can include one or more sensors for measuring one or more metrics. An ostomy wafer can also include one or more sensors for measuring one or more metrics. The sensors can be temperature sensors and/or capacitive sensors, for example, and the metrics can include bag fill, leakage, skin irritation, and phase of stoma output, among others.
