Among the plurality of regions, at least one region corresponds to a sensor region that senses a pressure applied to the measurement target or a temperature of the measurement target, and other regions each correspond to a non-sensor region that does not sense a pressure applied to the measurement target or a temperature of the measurement target.
System and method for machine monitoring
A method for monitoring operation of a machine includes receiving machine operation data including a first data channel indicative of a sensed condition at a first location on the machine, wherein the machine operation data is collected during one or more work cycles of the machine, and extracting at least a portion of the machine operation data, including data associated with the first data channel. The method also includes classifying the extracted machine operation data to identify one or more types of events that occurred during the one or more work cycles of the machine and involving an environment in which the machine operates during the one or more work cycles of the machine, estimating a condition at a second location on the machine during the one or more work cycles of the machine based on the identified one or more types of events, and logging the identified one or more types of events with a plurality of additional identified types of events to represent a plurality of work cycles during operation of the machine over time.

Flexible circuit package
A flexible circuit package. The circuit package includes a termination point on a flexible base substrate. The termination point is connected with an interface by conductive material on the base substrate. The conductive material extends across the surface area of the base substrate in multiple individual connections, which are in communication with each other and separated by voids in the conductive material for mitigating communication failure between the termination point and the interface during or following flexion, stretching, compression or other deformation of the base substrate and the circuit package. The termination point may include an input module such as a sensor, switch or other input. The termination point may include an output module such as a light, vibrator or other output. The interface may include an output interface for receiving data or an input interface for sending a command or other signal.
Insertion force measurement system
In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a measurement device is provided that includes an actuator module, a control module, a load cell module, a processing module, and a notification module. The actuator module includes an actuator. The control module includes one or more actuator controllers configured to control the actuator. The load cell module includes one or more motors configured to set orientation of attachments points for the actuator with respect to a component relative to a location of a user. The processing module includes a processor configured to receive and analyze information from the load cell module pertaining to an insertion force for the component. The notification module is configured to provide a notification based on the analyzing performed by the processing module.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
In an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, a program, and a recording medium, a first image signal corresponding to a spectral sensitivity and a second image signal that corresponds to the spectral sensitivity and that has at least one spectral sensitivity different from the first image signal are acquired from an image signal of a captured image of a measurement sheet. The first image signal is set as a third image signal, or the third image signal is generated by calculating a total of two or more first image signals for each pixel. The second image signal is set as a fourth image signal, or the fourth image signal is generated by calculating a total of two or more second image signals for each pixel. A fifth image signal is generated by calculating a ratio between the third image signal and the fourth image signal for each pixel, and a surface distribution of an external energy amount applied to the measurement sheet is derived based on the fifth image signal.
Stress-detecting element, sensor module, and electronic apparatus
A stress-detecting element includes a support body, a support film, a first piezoelectric element, first and second elastic parts. The support body has an opening part with first and second rectilinear sections extending parallel to each other. The support film blocks off the opening part. The first piezoelectric element straddles the first rectilinear section from an interior area to an exterior area of the opening part as seen in plan view. The first elastic part straddles the first rectilinear section from the interior area to the exterior area of the opening part. The second elastic part straddles the second rectilinear section from the interior area to the exterior area of the opening part. The first and second elastic parts respectively have first and second elastic end sections disposed in the interior area of the opening part and spaced apart from each other.
Temperature compensation for transparent force sensors
An optically transparent force sensor element compares a force reading from a first strain-sensitive film element with a second strain-sensitive film element, having a compliant and thermally conductive intermediate layer positioned therebetween to compensate for temperature changes. While in the idle state, the optically transparent force sensor can be periodically calibrated to account for additional changes in temperature.
Information output device
An information output device that can output the position of a load applied to the pedal is provided. A strain gauge is provided on the inner face of a crank of a bicycle and detects strain occurring in the crank. A cycle computer display unit displays an image showing the center position of the load applied to the pedal connected to the crank based on the tangential force and the torsional torque calculated based on the output values of the first strain gauge to the sixth strain gauge.
