Monitoring power devices
An apparatus senses properties of a fluid. The apparatus has a pipe section, a valve, and an instrument. The pipe section has an envelope, through which a flow of the fluid is coupled between a tank of an electrical power device and a cooling device. The envelope is disposed about a longitudinal axis, and has a penetration disposed laterally, relative to the longitudinal axis. The valve is disposed within the one or more penetrations and has a closed position and an open position. The instrument is operable for the sensing of the fluid properties, and has a probe disposed in contact with the fluid through the valve in the open position.
High pressure processing pressure sensor
A pressure sensor and its use for visually determining whether a preselected pressure threshold has been achieved, for example during high pressure processing treatment of a foodstuff. The pressure sensor includes a contained color-changing system having a dye, a developer, and a solvent; upon achievement of the preselected pressure threshold, the dye and the developer interact, resulting in a visible color change. Further, the visible color change can be retained upon a decrease in pressure and upon an increase in temperature, thereby effectively recording the achievement of the preselected pressure threshold during the high pressure processing treatment.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING A FLUID PRESSURE
A method for determining a fluid pressure in a pneumatic bladder of a pneumatic adjusting device of a vehicle seat is disclosed, wherein the pneumatic bladder is connected to a valve for the filling or emptying of the bladder with or of fluid. Fluid start pressure at the valve is provided as initial pressure for determining of the fluid pressure in the bladder. Fluid throughflow through the valve device is determined using a first assignment rule which assigns the fluid throughflow to the fluid start pressure at the valve. The fluid throughflow obtained using the first assignment rule over a predetermined period of time is summed to determine a fluid quantity that has flowed through the valve. Fluid pressure present in the bladder is determined using a second assignment rule which assigns the fluid pressure present in the bladder to the determined fluid quantity.

Printable high pressure irreversible indicating material
A pressure indicator comprising a printed or coated film with micron sized particles disbursed in a transparent binder, wherein the particles change from white to transparent when exposed to high pressure.
Impact testing apparatuses and methods for drug delivery devices
Impact testing apparatuses are disclosed which simulate and measure various impact-related events associated with the operation of a drug delivery device. The impact testing apparatus may include an impactor configured to simulate a plunger rod of the drug delivery device, and a guide sleeve configured to receive a syringe corresponding to the drug delivery device. The syringe may have a proximal end, a distal end defining an outlet, and an interior chamber extending between the proximal and distal ends and carrying a plunger. Additionally, the impact testing apparatus may include an energy source configured to reduce a distance between the impactor and the plunger so that the impactor strikes the plunger. Various sensors may be included to measure characteristics of one or more impacts caused by the impactor. Methods of impact testing a syringe filled with a fluid and carrying a plunger are also disclosed.
