The invention concerns a method for estimating an external force acting on an electrohydrostatic actuator, the actuator comprising a ram including a first chamber, a second chamber and a piston located between the first chamber and the second chamber, a pump capable of injecting fluid into the chambers for controlling a movement of the piston, and an electric motor driving the pump, the method comprising steps of: estimating, by means of at least one state observer (21, 22), a dynamic component and a static component of a difference in equivalent fluid pressure between the first chamber and the second chamber from a rotational speed of the electric motor, a position of the piston and a supply current of the electric motor, estimating the external force by means of a post-processing module (23) as a combination of the estimated dynamic component and static component of the difference in fluid pressure.

Hydraulic and lubricating fluid contamination sensor system
A method and apparatus for maintaining the rate of flow of hydraulic or lubricating fluid through a particle contamination sensor or monitor at an acceptable level is disclosed. The rate of flow may be a specific value or lie within a desired range of values. Regardless, maintaining the rate of flow at an acceptable level improves the accuracy of information produced by the contamination sensor or monitor. A display for displaying the particle information created by a particle contamination sensor or monitor in a manner more easily understood by maintenance personnel and a method of creating such a display is also disclosed.

Alias resolving intelligent assistant computing device
Intelligent assistant systems, methods and computing devices are disclosed for resolving alias identifiers. A method comprises receiving and parsing data comprising a current user input that includes an alias identifier. The data and/or other sensor data are analyzed to identify the user. Based at least on identifying the user and recognizing the alias identifier, usage pattern data comprising at least one previous user input that includes the alias identifier and corresponding context information is accessed. The usage pattern data is used to resolve the alias identifier to mean the alias identifier in an alias record of a known entity. Based at least on resolving the alias identifier, an output device is controlled to one or more of generate a message and perform an action with respect to the known entity.
Field serviceable, small form-factor pressure scanner
The disclosed technology relates to a field serviceable pressure scanner suitable for high-pressure sensing applications and replacement of large pressure transmitter panels. The pressure scanner includes a housing having a mounting plate comprising a plurality of through-hole bores extending from a front to back side for mating with corresponding transducer ports of the pressure sensors, and a plurality of input ports disposed on the front side of the mounting plate and in communication with the corresponding plurality of through-hole bores. The pressure scanner assembly includes two or more field-replaceable (swappable) pressure sensors seal mounted to the back side of the mounting plate, each pressure sensor comprising one or more sensor ports, each of the one or more sensor port in communication with corresponding through-hole bores in the mounting plate, and a multi-channel data acquisition system configured to receive pressure signals from the two or more field-replaceable pressure sensors.

SENSOR ELEMENT
A sensor chip of a sensor element includes a diaphragm for measuring a differential pressure between a first pressure and a second pressure, a diaphragm for measuring an absolute pressure or a gauge pressure of the second pressure, a first pressure introduction path that transmits the first pressure to the diaphragm for measuring a differential pressure, and a second pressure introduction path that transmits the second pressure to the diaphragms. When the transmission of the first pressure or the second pressure to the diaphragms is indicated by an equivalent circuit, a path for transmitting the first pressure and a path for transmitting the second pressure are symmetrically formed.
