A method of monitoring microelectromechanical system (MEMS) pressure sensors arranged on a carrier includes: generating a first measurement value by a first MEMS pressure sensor arranged on the carrier; generating a second measurement value by a second MEMS pressure sensor arranged on the carrier; and determining, by an integrated circuit, whether the first measurement value of the first MEMS pressure sensor corresponds to the second measurement value of the second MEMS pressure sensor in accordance with a predefined criterion, wherein the integrated circuit is arranged on the carrier and is coupled to the first MEMS pressure sensor and the second MEMS pressure sensor.

An example system comprising a pressure sensor array, a proximity sensor comprising circuitry to sense an object approaching the pressure sensor array based on a change in a resonance frequency of the proximity sensor, and a controller to receive from the proximity sensor the sensed change in the resonance frequency and designate the pressure sensor array as active responsive to the sensed resonance frequency being below a threshold or inactive responsive to the sensed resonance frequency being above the threshold, wherein a data transmission rate of the active pressure sensor array is greater than a data transmission rate of the inactive pressure sensor array.

System and method for measuring volume and pressure
A volume measurement system for a fluid processing device includes a fluid container, an imaging unit, and a controller. The container includes a housing defining the structure of the fluid container, and a plurality of fluid chambers. The fluid chambers collect and/or store fluid from the fluid processing device, and each have a port that allows fluid to enter and/or exit the fluid chambers. The imaging unit takes images of the fluid chambers and is positioned to view a level of fluid in each of the chambers. The controller is in communication with the imaging unit and determines the volume of fluid within each of the fluid chambers based upon the viewed level of fluid in the fluid chambers.

Provided is a pressure sensor apparatus, including: a pressure sensor unit; a case configured to house the pressure sensor unit; and a plurality of lead terminals configured to be exposed toward outside of of the case, wherein the plurality of lead terminals include a first terminal, a second terminal, and a ground terminal; and the ground terminal, the first terminal and the second terminal are arranged in an order of the ground terminal, the first terminal, and the second terminal outside the case. The pressure sensor apparatus includes a capacitor for a second terminal arranged across the ground terminal and the second terminal in between in interior of the case.
Oil fill transducer with rubber disc for dynamic protection
An oil-fill pressure transducer including a flexible member configured to protect an isolation diaphragm and sensing element. The pressure transducer includes a sensing element mounted to the header, an isolation diaphragm mounted on the front side of the header, and adjacent to the sensing element such that an oil-fill cavity is defined between the sensing element and the isolation diaphragm. The flexible member is disposed adjacent to the isolation diaphragm and a retention member is disposed adjacent to the flexible member. A cavity in communication with the retention member is configured to transmit pressure media to the isolation diaphragm via the flexible member. The flexible member can include thru-holes. The flexible member may compress under an applied positive pressure change. The flexible member may temporarily separate from at least a portion of the isolation diaphragm under an applied negative pressure change.
Liquid detection in a sensor environment and remedial action thereof
A device includes a sensor die, an electrical coupling, a substrate, a liquid detection unit, and a housing unit. The sensor die is coupled to the substrate via the electrical coupling. The liquid detection unit electrically is coupled to the sensor die. The housing unit and the substrate are configured to house the sensor die, the liquid detection unit, and the electrical coupling. The housing unit comprises an opening that exposes the sensor die to an environment external to the housing unit. The liquid detection unit detects presence of liquid within an interior environment of the housing unit. In some embodiments, the device further includes a gel filled within the interior environment of the housing unit covering the sensor die and the substrate. The gel, e.g., silicone, fluoro silicone, etc., is configured to protect the sensor die, the electrical coupling, and the substrate from exposure to the liquid.

The present disclosure relates to a measurement tube including a tubular main body, which has a wall and a lumen, and a sensor holder, which is arranged on and integrally bonded to an outer lateral surface of the wall of the main body, opposite the lumen, the sensor holder configured to be mechanically connected to at least one sensor component for sensing at least one measurement variable of a measurement material located in the lumen. The sensor holder is at least partly produced by an additive manufacturing method directly on the lateral surface of the wall of the main body. In a method for producing such a measurement tube, liquefied material is applied to the outer lateral surface of the wall of the main body and allowed to resolidify there to form a part of the sensor holder, which part is integrally bonded to the wall of the main body.

A module for measuring and monitoring an inlet and outlet pressure is described herein. The module includes an inlet pressure port for fluid communication to a fluid line before a filter and the inlet pressure port comprising a first pressure sensor. The module includes an outlet pressure port for fluid communication to a fluid line after the filter and the outlet pressure port comprising a second pressure sensor. At least one signal port is disposed in the module. The first pressure sensor and the second pressure sensor during operation are in signal communication with the at least one signal port.
