Bleed air duct leak system real-time fault detection
A method and apparatus for testing a duct leak detection system of an aircraft is disclosed. A sensor of the duct leak detection system is selected at an interface of the duct leak detection system. An alternating current is sent through the selected sensor and a resistance of the selected sensor is measured using the alternating current. An indicative signal is generated at the interface when the measured resistance of the selected sensor is outside of a specification of the selected sensor.
DEVICE FOR TESTING STRENGTH AND SEALING PERFORMANCE OF CEMENT SHEATH AFTER PERFORATION AND USING METHOD THEREOF
The invention discloses a device for testing strength and sealing performance of cement sheath after perforation, comprising a cement sheath curing maintenance simulation component, a perforation operation simulation component, and a cement sheath performance test component. By simulating the detonation effect and fluid-solid coupling effect, quantitatively testing the internal transverse crack and longitudinal crack propagation size, compressive strength and tensile strength, permeability, blowby pressure, blowby velocity and other parameters of the cement sheath, drawing the relation curve between different perforation distances and the maximum blowby pressure and permeability of the cement sheath, determining the perforation distance H.sub.p where the blowby of the cement sheath does not occur, determining the perforation distance H.sub.K to ensure the sealing of the cement sheath, and using min (H.sub.p, H.sub.K), the critical perforation distance that the cement sheath has sufficient strength to prevent blowby and meet the sealing requirements can be determined.

Device for testing ducts
A device (1) for registering data and features of ducts includes at least one camera (3, 5), at least one distance measurement apparatus and at least one apparatus for measuring properties of the medium contained in the duct. Furthermore, provision can be made for an illumination apparatus (4), a tracking sensor (10), which emits data in relation to the current position of the device (1), and an inclination measurement device (inclinometer and gyroscopic compass 9). The device can have a passive or active drive for moving the device (1) along the duct. The device (1) can register a length recording of the duct with the aid of photo geometry or with sound, radar, acceleration sensors and/or mechanical distance measurements. Thus, after a duct has been inspected, each point can be assigned precisely in terms of length.
Subsea Valve, Flow System and Method of Use
The invention provides a flow system, a subsea valve (100), and a method of use in a subsea pipeline filling, flooding or pigging operation. The flow system comprises a subsea valve (100) comprising a valve inlet and a valve outlet configured to be coupled to a subsea pipeline (13). A pump (112) comprises a pump inlet connected to a fluid source and a pump outlet connected to the valve inlet. The pump is operable to pump fluid from the fluid source and into the subsea pipeline via the subsea valve. The subsea valve comprises a movable valve member and a biasing mechanism, by which the valve member is urged by a biasing force towards a closed position that prevents flow of fluid through the valve and into the subsea pipeline. The valve member is operable to be moved to an open position on activation of the pump to provide a pressure increase at the valve inlet sufficient to overcome the biasing force. In use, opposing sides of the valve member are exposed to ambient subsea pressure such that the subsea valve is pressure balanced.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORECASTING LEAKS IN A FLUID-DELIVERY PIPELINE NETWORK
A system for forecasting leaks in a fluid-delivery pipeline network. The system identifies a subsystem in the pipeline network that comprises a plurality of topologically connected stations. The system accesses historical temporal sensor measurements of a plurality of variables of the stations that are directly connected and generates a temporal causal dependency model for a first control variable at the first station in the subsystem, based on the plurality of time series of sensor measurements of a second variable of the first station, and temporal delay characteristics of the plurality of time series of sensor measurements of the second variable at the stations directly connected to the first station. The system automatically calculates a normal operating value of the first control variable at the first station and the deviations between actual measured values and the normal operating value and determines a threshold deviation that indicates a leak event.
