Process and device for testing the powertrain of at least partially electrically driven vehicles

In a process for testing the powertrain of vehicles that are at least in part electrically driven, the voltage supplied to the powertrain is controlled by a controller coupled with a simulation system for the energy storage system in a way that the voltage acts dynamically as for a real energy storage system. The controller is designed with a model based controller design method, with a load model of the powertrain being used in the model of the controlled system.

In one example embodiment, an engine flow measurement device features an engine data repository, one or more sensor units, and a measurement unit. The measurement system is configured to identify, from performance data, a maneuver performed during operation of the aircraft and to measure, for the identified maneuver, a plurality of maneuver flow values achieved during performance of the maneuver. The plurality of maneuver flow values correspond to a plurality of maneuver engine power values. Each of the plurality of maneuver flow values represent a volume of air flow through the air filter at a particular moment during performance of the maneuver.

System and method for automated failure mode detection of rotating machinery

Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media that support automated failure mode detection for rotating machinery based on vibration analysis. To illustrate, a computing device may receive vibration data from one or more sensors configured to measure vibrations of a rotating machine, such as an engine. The computing device may generate a frequency spectrum based on the vibration data (or receive the frequency spectrum) and compare the frequency spectrum to one or more predetermined frequency models to determine one or more similarity metrics. The one or more predetermined frequency models may each be associated with a respective failure mode of the rotating machine. The computing device may identify a failure mode associated with a predetermined frequency model that corresponds to a similarity metric that satisfies a threshold, and the computing device may output an indication of the identified failure mode.

Dynamometer rotary table

The present invention relates to a dynamometer rotary table (1), which brings the dynamometer to the required position according to the test that will be conducted automatically or manually. The dynamometer rotary table (1) is mounted to the ground via a fixed plate (2). An inner table (4) is seated on the fixed plate (2), and there are lifters (5) on the inner table. The lifters (5) lift the rotary table (6), and the rotary table (6) is brought to the desired position by means of the reducer (3). The lifters (5) lower the rotary table (6) to its new position, and the lock unit (8) fixed the rotary table (6) at its new position.

Methods and systems are provided for the integration of a fuel level sensor and a fuel pressure sensor in a fuel tank within a fuel system. In one example, an integrated fuel pressure and fuel level sensor for a fuel tank may include a float arm of the fuel sensor coupled to a floating body and a pressure sensor (e.g., a fuel tank pressure transducer) coupled to the floating body, the integrated fuel pressure and fuel level sensor adapted to simultaneously measure fuel level and fuel vapor pressure of the fuel tank.

Wear-monitoring of a gearbox in a power station
09915585 · 2018-03-13 · ·

The invention relates to a method of monitoring a wear of a gearbox in a power station, such as a windmill, water-wheel or tidal power station, the gearbox comprising at least two shafts, cogwheels and bearings as components of the gearbox. The method comprises sensing an angular position at the shafts by a rotational shaft encoder and monitoring the wear of the transmission-unit according to differences of the sensed angular positions and generating a condition signal representative of the wear of the gearbox according to the monitored differences. The monitoring comprises an additional sensing of at least one additional degree of freedom, in particular an axial and/or eccentric displacement, of at least one of the shafts caused by wear of at least one of the components of the gearbox, and generating the condition signal according to the displacement and differences in the at least two degrees of freedom.

A computer-assisted inspection system including an integrated software suite provides vehicle inspection services for various clients. Features include automatic grading, flat car part picking, easy to use, ability to run in an environment where the inspector has no constant connectivity to the network (no guaranteed access to the internet, full data replication, intermittent connectivity, synch back up), inspectors can be geographically separated (e.g., all over the country), and the system is installable over the internet to provide efficient installation to far-flung install sites.

Apparatus and method for determining pore clogging in engine cooling system
09903260 · 2018-02-27 · ·

The pore clogging determination apparatus tentatively determines clogging of a pore (micropore) based on the rate of increase in a coolant temperature at an engine outlet. When the presence of pore clogging has been tentatively determined, the apparatus increases a rotation speed of a coolant pump to determine whether or not the coolant pump is idling. When it has been determined that the coolant pump is idling, the apparatus finalizes the determination of the clogging of the pore (micropore). This suppresses an erroneous determination of clogging of the pore that allows the coolant to flow in an engine cooling system.

RESIDUAL STRESS ESTIMATION METHOD AND RESIDUAL STRESS ESTIMATION DEVICE

Provided is a residual stress estimation method and a residual stress estimation device capable of suppressing the number of cut pieces to be collected for measuring inherent strain without deteriorating residual stress estimation accuracy. In a case where it is assumed that the inherent strain is uniformly distributed in one direction in a structure, a user measures residual stress from a cut piece collected in a region in which the inherent strain is uniformly distributed and inputs the measured value to the residual stress estimation device. The residual stress estimation device estimates a two-dimensional inherent strain distribution on an analysis surface perpendicular to the one direction in the structure using the input residual stress measured value, transfers the estimated two-dimensional inherent strain distribution to the one direction, and estimates a three-dimensional inherent strain distribution in the structure.
