Vehicle Inspection System and Method For Evaluating Vehicle Inspection and Service Information
A vehicle inspection system for acquiring measurements of at least one vehicle moving through an inspection lane is in communication with a remote data processing and storage system to aggregate data from multiple vehicles passing through the inspection lane, and optionally, from multiple inspection lanes. The remote data processing and storage system is configured with suitable software instructions to store the received vehicle inspection data, as well as vehicle service data received from vehicle service equipment, and to generate reports and/or respond to data queries using the stored vehicle inspection and vehicle service data.
Electronic control unit
An electronic control unit improves a serviceability for a user of a vehicle by performing an abnormality diagnosis of the vehicle based on (i) storing a readiness information indicating that readiness is complete in a readiness storage, (ii) storing a history of normal diagnosis results from an abnormality diagnosis in a history storage, and (iii) relaxing a readiness complete condition for storing the readiness information in the readiness storage under control of a microcomputer, when the history stored in the history storage includes information of existence of the normal history. By using the relaxed condition for the abnormality diagnosis, readiness information is more quickly stored when performing the abnormality diagnosis. Also, diagnostic process is completed more quickly, facilitating the repair process and enabling the user to more quickly receive a desired service.
Machine onboard activity and behavior classification
A machine behavior classification system may include an electronic data collection system and an electronic data analysis system. The electronic data collection system may have an image capture apparatus that is configured to monitor a machine and the image capture apparatus may produce an image data file of the machine. Moreover, the electronic data analysis system may receive the image data file and may perform a data analysis of the image data file.
System and method for testing a hands-off clutch for a steering hardware-in-loop (HIL) system
A calibration system for an electric power steering system includes a hardware-in-loop (HIL) test fixture, and an electric power steering system mounted to the HIL test fixture. The electric power steering system includes a power steering rack, and an intermediate shaft (I-shaft) mechanically connected to the power steering rack. An electric motor is operatively connected to the HIL test fixture. A clutch assembly is operatively connected between the electric motor and the I-shaft. The clutch assembly is operable to selectively connect the electric motor with the I-shaft.
Drive support device for controlling drive support functions and evaluating driver performance
A drive support device includes a vehicle information obtainment unit configured to obtain vehicle information including a plurality of driving support levels provided by the drive support device installed in a vehicle, and a position of the vehicle or time; and a vehicle information recording unit configured to record the vehicle information obtained by the vehicle information obtainment unit on a vehicle information storage unit. The vehicle information recording unit records the position of the vehicle or the time, and the driving support level executed at the position of the vehicle or the time, on the vehicle information storage unit.
VEHICLE SAFETY SYSTEM MOBILE TARGET
A vehicle safety system target includes a first platform disposed on a mobile chassis, a frame assembly, a first securing member, a second platform, and a mounting member. The frame assembly is at least partially disposed about the mobile chassis and includes a first frame member and a second frame member. The first frame member is disposed on the first platform. The second frame member is disposed on the first platform. The first securing member is configured to couple an object to the first platform. The second platform is spaced apart from the first platform. The mounting member is disposed on the second platform.
Quality control device, quality control system, quality control method, and quality control program
An actual supply data acquirer acquires, for a replaceable member with which a product is replaceably provided, actual supply data representing an actual result of shipment for replacement of the replaceable member in the product that is already sold and used. A determiner, using the actual supply data acquired by the actual supply data acquirer, determines whether an excess demand situation occurs in which demand for the replaceable member exceeds predetermined forecasted demand. A notification controller, when the determiner determines that the excess demand situation occurs, performs notification control to cause sending of notification indicating a possibility that an abnormality is occurring in quality of the product.
Controlled testing environment for autonomous vehicle in simulated event
A vehicle is received in a stationary controlled area of a controlled testing environment. Simulation inputs corresponding to a simulated scene are generated and transmitted to the vehicle. The vehicle applies torque in response. A vehicle control mechanism of the controlled testing environment, such as a chassis dynamometer, a motorized treadmill, or a lift, keeps the vehicle within the stationary controlled area during the test despite the torque applied by the vehicle. A path of the vehicle within the simulated scene is determined based on the applied torque, based upon which the vehicle's navigation system is calibrated.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING AUTOMATED VEHICLES
A processor, responsive to a set of location or motion data describing one or more objects relative to a first, local frame of reference, generates a transformed set of location or motion data describing the one or more objects relative to a second, local frame of reference different than the first local frame of reference, such that the set of location or motion data and the transformed set of location or motion data relative to a global frame of reference are same. The processor also outputs the transformed set of location or motion data to a vehicle such that the vehicle performs control operations responsive thereto.
