System, method and computer program product for detecting switch status of vehicle window(s)
A method, system, and computer program product, include obtaining window status decision information based on vehicle interior background noise and determining switch status of the vehicle window(s) based on the obtained window status decision information.
Method and system for automatically streamlining the vehicle claims process
To automatically streamline a vehicle claims process after a vehicle is damaged in a crash, crash information for the damaged vehicle may be compared to collision data to determine a total cost for repairing the damaged vehicle. A treatment facility for performing the repairs may be automatically selected from several treatment facilities, based on the capability of the treatment facility and whether the facility agrees to repair the vehicle for the determined cost. Once a treatment facility is automatically selected, the damaged vehicle may be transported to the selected treatment facility, and funds may be transmitted to the owner of the damaged vehicle to cover the cost of repair.
Multi-phase power meter configured for monitoring generator battery voltage
Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems and methods for determining the state of health of a generator battery set and its ability to supply generator starter motor with start-up energy by capturing a profile of voltage across terminals of the battery during a supply of electrical energy from the battery to the starter and comparing the captured voltage profile to a reference voltage profile to determine if a difference between the captured voltage profile and reference voltage profile exceeds an acceptable amount.
Fault detection, isolation and reconfiguration systems and methods for controlling electrohydraulic systems used in construction equipment
The present disclosure relates to fault detection, isolation and reconfiguration schemes, architectures and methods for use in electrohydraulic actuation systems for construction equipment. In one embodiment, a supervisory controller adapted to interface with a main controller of the construction vehicle is provided. A plurality of control nodes that interface with the supervisory controller are also disclosed, each of which includes pressure and position sensors. The nodes also include a first actuator control node for controlling operation of a first hydraulic actuator, a second actuator control node for controlling operation of a second hydraulic actuator, and a pump control node. The control system has an architecture in which faults are detected and isolated at the supervisory controller level and, where possible, within each of the control nodes at a sensor level, a component level, and a subsystem level.
Tire and vehicle sensor-based vehicle state estimation system and method
A vehicle state estimation system and method uses an observer model to make cornering stiffness estimates from tire-based sensor data and vehicle-based sensor data throughout transient and non-transient operational maneuvers of a vehicle. A cornering stiffness identifier extracts transient-state cornering stiffness estimates from the cornering stiffness estimates made by the observer model and extracts from the transient-state cornering stiffness estimates an optimal transient-state cornering stiffness estimate having a substantially highest confidence measure for use by a vehicle control system.

Method for the reduction and modulation of noise of an electric motor
A method for the noise modulation of a three-phase synchronous electric motor driven using a vector regulation by means of a motor control unit. Actual values for the rotated current components i.sub.d and i.sub.q may be obtained in an open-loop control system, where i.sub.d corresponds to the magnetization current and i.sub.q corresponds to the torque-forming current of the synchronous motor. The actual values may be compared with predetermined reference target values, and the differences between the actual values and the reference target values may be converted into control variables to regulate the actual values (i.sub.q, i.sub.d) to the reference target values. The magnetization current-forming current component (i.sub.d) may be adapted using an acoustic controller to a desired acoustic state depending on an acoustic state that was measured by a measuring device and was transmitted to the motor control unit.
CONTROL SYSTEM HAVING VARIABLE GAIN FEED FORWARD (VGFF) CONTROL
A system for controlling a plurality of actuators is disclosed. The system includes at least one device for operating the plurality of actuators, at least one processor in communication with the device, and a memory coupled the processor. The memory stores data comprising program code that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the system to receive as input a profile number indicating a specific test being performed by the system and a profile row indicating a load exerted by the plurality of actuators. The system is further caused to select a predetermined gain output based on the profile number and the profile row from a gain array. The gain array is a matrix containing a plurality of gain values, and the predetermined gain output is selected based on the profile number and the profile row. The system is further caused to determine a control value.

System, method, and computer-readable medium for facilitating treatment of a vehicle damaged in a crash
A system, method, and computer-readable medium for facilitating treatment of a vehicle damaged in a crash utilizes near real-time monitoring of the market value of a vehicle type that includes the damaged vehicle, its vehicle parts, and/or one or more arranged vehicle treatments to approximate an extent of damage to the damaged vehicle and determine a prospective vehicle treatment facility for treating the damaged vehicle. In particular, the system continually monitors the market value of a vehicle, its vehicle parts, and/or a prescribed vehicle treatment to calculate a treatment complexity level, e.g., vehicle repair, total loss; for treating the damaged vehicle.
