A privacy curtain assembly includes a main curtain portion. The main curtain portion includes a first side, a second side, and oppositely disposed leading edges located between the first and second sides. The privacy curtain assembly also includes at least one cleanable, wipable panel that is permanently affixed to one of the leading edges of the main curtain portion. The at least one panel is configured to be cleaned while permanently affixed to the main curtain portion.

Disclosed is a biodegradable hospital privacy curtain and curtain hardware having: a non-biodegradable polymer selected from a group consisting of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylchloride (PVC) and combinations thereof; and an additive comprising a blend or copolymer of (1) a first polymer selected from a poly-lactic acid (PLA), a polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) or a combination thereof and (2) a second polymer which is a poly-terephthalate. The curtain has a first hardness on the durometer scale and the curtain hardware has a second hardness on the durometer scale, different than the first hardness on the durometer scale. Also disclosed is a method of making a hospital disposable.

The present invention uses a curtain rod embellishment apparatus to display, elegant, interchangeable, ornamental embellishments for visual enjoyment. The concept is an alternative for using tassels, scarf's, cornices or beads to compliment windows and room decor. A curtain rod embellishment apparatus, comprising at least two brackets; at least two curtain rod hooks; a curtain rod; an elongated element; at least one embellishment unit; wherein each of the at least two curtain rod hooks are secured with each of the at least two brackets, wherein the curtain rod is disposed at the at least two curtain rod hooks, wherein the elongated element has a front side and a back side opposite to the front side, wherein the at least two curtain rod hooks are secured with the back side of the elongated element, and wherein the at least one embellishment unit attachable to the front side of the elongated element.

A curtain assembly comprises a rotatable drive element wherein at least one helical guide structure is formed on, or into, the outer surface of the drive element. A drive attachment element having a structure that communicates with the helical guide structure to move the drive attachment element axially along the drive element when the drive element is rotated. Specific embodiments incorporate either a manual or motor-driven rotation assembly for rotating the drive element. Further specific embodiments involve a helical guide structure that comprises a helical groove and a structure that comprises a tooth that engages with the helical groove.

A system for maintaining thermal separation between first and second adjacent rooms or spaces. The system includes a vestibule with at least a first compartment, and other embodiments may include two or more compartments, such that the vestibule provides a passageway between the first and second rooms. At least one blower draws air from the first room through an air intake, and back into the first room through an exhaust. The system further includes an exhaust port from the first compartment in fluid communication with the exhaust, to exhaust air from the first compartment into the first room. During operation, a vacuum is formed within the first compartment that provides thermal separation between the first and second adjacent rooms.

A mounting is disclosed for securing in place a sheet (56) which constitutes a liner, cover or curtain. The sheet has an elongate attachment zone (60) which is thicker than the material of the sheet. The mounting including a clip (10.2) which is formed with an elongate hollow portion (12) having a longitudinal slit (14) along the length thereof. The attachment zone of the sheet is in the hollow portion of the clip with the sheet emerging from the clip through the slit. A cord (62) is connected to a lashing point (64). The clip (10.2) has a passageway (40) through which the cord (62) passes thereby to attach the clip and the attachment zone to the lashing point.

A mounting is disclosed for securing in place a sheet (56) which constitutes a liner, cover or curtain. The sheet has an elongate attachment zone (60) which is thicker than the material of the sheet. The mounting including a clip (10.2) which is formed with an elongate hollow portion (12) having a longitudinal slit (14) along the length thereof. The attachment zone of the sheet is in the hollow portion of the clip with the sheet emerging from the clip through the slit. A cord (62) is connected to a lashing point (64). The clip (10.2) has a passageway (40) through which the cord (62) passes thereby to attach the clip and the attachment zone to the lashing point.
