The technical result consists in increased accuracy of density measurements of a liquid using a simplified sensor configuration. The sensor for a vibration densimeter comprises a hollow cylindrical body on one end face of which is hermetically attached a metal membrane. To the inner side of the membrane is attached a piezoelectric element, and to the outer side of the membrane is attached a mechanical vibration transducer, which is made in the form of a tuning fork, to which a hollow cylindrical resonator is attached in the longitudinal direction. Moreover, the base of the tuning fork is attached to the membrane, and the teeth of the tuning fork are attached to an end face of the hollow cylindrical resonator.

MULTIPLE ANGLED FIELD-OF-VIEW CLOUD SENSOR
20230120329 · 2023-04-20 ·

An optical sensor for an aircraft includes two detectors, a light source, and a controller. The detectors are oriented along detector paths and have tilt angles and fields of view. The detectors are configured to detect light reflected from an illumination volume and to generate detector signals that correspond to intensities of detected light. The tilt angles are equal such that each detector is oriented in an opposite direction within a plane containing a light source path and the detector paths. The light source is oriented along the light source path and is configured to illuminate the illumination volume which overlaps with the fields of view within a predetermined distance range. The controller is configured to receive the detector signals, detect whether a cloud is present based upon the detector signals, determine a cloud phase, and calculate a density of the detected cloud.

Oscillator for density measurement of a liquid
11630044 · 2023-04-18 ·

An oscillator for density measurement of a liquid, including a counter mass and a container for the liquid. The oscillator is made of metal and the container has two identical resonator tubes, which are clamped into the counter mass in parallel to each other, and a connecting tube connecting the resonator tubes. The resonator tubes can be set into a resonance oscillation in which a common centre of gravity of the resonator tubes remains at rest during the resonance oscillation. The oscillator also includes a web located between the counter mass and the connecting tube, which web spaces the resonator tubes from each other in such a way that the lengths (L) of the resonator tubes enclosed between the counter mass and the web can be set into a diametrically opposite oscillation on the basis of which the density of the liquid located in the oscillator can be determined.

Method and apparatus for fluid characterization and holdup estimation using acoustic waves

Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for predicting fluid holdups along the borehole or the pipe on surface and to perform fluid typing and fluid properties characterization. Acoustic waves are transmitted by an array of acoustic wave transducers. Each transducer is configured to transmit acoustic waves at a different frequency. The acoustic waves are received by an array of acoustic wave receivers fixed on the bow centralizer on the tool used in the borehole. Each receiver is configured to receive only the given frequency of a given transducer, forming a receiver-transducer pair for the given frequency. Acoustic speeds measured at each given frequency and analyzed. A model is generated based on the analyzing. The model is configured to predict fluid holdups across the borehole and to perform fluid typing and fluid properties characterization in one phase, two phase, and three phase applications of gas, oil, and water.
