Measuring arrangement and method for a thermal analysis of a sample
A measuring arrangement for a thermal analysis of a sample, having a crucible for storing a sample in the crucible, as well as a sensor for measuring a sample temperature of the sample when the crucible is arranged on the sensor. To reduce the risk of damages to or even the destruction of used components as a result of chemical or physical reactions, it is provided according to the invention that the measuring arrangement further has a washer arrangement, which is inserted between the crucible and the sensor and which has a first layer, which contacts the crucible, of a first material and a second layer, which contacts the sensor, of a second material, which differs from the first material. The invention further includes a method for the thermal analysis of a sample, which is performed by using such a measuring arrangement.
Temperature modulated thermogravimetric analysis
A sample is analyzed by temperature-modulated thermogravimetric analysis (TMTGA), using a thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) instrument. The TGA instrument comprises a furnace arranged in a furnace housing and an electronic balance with a load receiver arranged in a balance housing, wherein the load receiver extends into the furnace housing. A measuring position is arranged at one end of the load receiver within the furnace housing. A control unit controls the balance and/or the furnace. The TMTGA method includes at least using the TGA instrument to subject the sample to a temperature program that varies the temperature of the furnace and provides temperature-time setpoints for controlling the sample temperature, measuring the mass change of the sample as a function of time, and determining at least one kinetic parameter of the sample based on mass change. The temperature program may be stochastic and/or event-controlled in nature.

Heat exchanger contamination monitoring
Embodiments relate to heat exchanger contamination monitoring in an air conditioning system. An aspect includes receiving, by a contamination monitoring logic from a primary heat exchanger outlet temperature sensor, a first temperature comprising an air temperature at an outlet of a primary heat exchanger. Another aspect includes receiving, from a secondary heat exchanger outlet temperature sensor, a second temperature comprising an air temperature at an outlet of a secondary heat exchanger. Another aspect includes receiving, from a compressor outlet temperature sensor, a third temperature comprising an air temperature at an outlet of a compressor. Another aspect includes determining, based on the first, second, and third temperature, a heat exchanger contamination value. Another aspect includes comparing the heat exchanger contamination value to a predetermined contamination threshold. Another aspect includes based on the heat exchanger contamination value being greater than the predetermined contamination threshold, sending a maintenance warning.

Urea water suitability determination device
A concentration detecting section detects a concentration of urea water and outputs the detected value. A determining section determines whether the urea water is suitable by using the detected value. A temperature detecting section detects temperatures of detection targets. The detection targets have temperatures that are different from one another during operation of an engine. The determining section is adapted to calculate a temperature difference between temperatures of a particular detection target and another detection target and start determining whether the urea water is suitable when a determination start condition including that the temperature difference is within a reference range is satisfied. The reference range is defined as a range of temperature differences in which it is determined that the urea water is in a quiescent state, which is suitable for the determination.
