SYSTEM OF PREDICTING DEMENTIA AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
A dementia prediction system and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The dementia prediction system includes a bio signal collection module configured to detect brainwave information and visual information of a subject and a brain aging determination module configured to calculate directional data of a bio signal of the subject from the brainwave information and the visual information and classify the directional data into a dementia group and a normal group using training data of a preset dementia group and a preset normal group.
TIME-OF-FLIGHT SENSORS CO-REGISTERED WITH CAMERA SYSTEMS
A remote sensing system for time-of-flight measurements may comprise an array of laser diodes with Bragg reflectors operating in the near-infrared wavelength range synchronized to a detection system comprising lenses, spectral filters and a photodiode array coupled to a processor. The time-of-flight depth information may be combined with various camera imaging systems. The camera system may comprise a lens system, prism and a sensor. In another embodiment, the data from two cameras may be combined with the time-of-flight depth information. Yet another embodiment comprises an imaging system with another array of laser diodes followed by a beam splitter and a detection system. The remote sensing system may be coupled to a smart phone, tablet or wearable device, and the combined data may provide three-dimensional information about at least some part of an object. Also, artificial intelligence may be used in the processing to make decisions regarding the depth and images.
FLOW CYTOMETRY SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Flow cytometry is used for diagnosis of infectious diseases by an analysis of cell mediated immune responses to specific infective agent antigens. Apparatus and methods of advanced flow cytometry are utilized to detect cell mediated immune responses to the presence of specific antigens from infective agents, such as bacteria, protozoa, viruses, helminth, prions. In some embodiments, methods as provided herein can be utilized in vitro to diagnose multiple infections within individuals.
METHOD FOR THE DETECTION OF A BINDING PARTNER OF A MULTISPECIFIC BINDER
Herein is reported a method for the detection of free antigen of a multispecific antibody in a sample, whereby the antigen to be detected can be specifically bound by a first binding site of the multispecific antibody, comprising the step of incubating a sample comprising free antigen and multispecific antibody with an anti-idiotypic antibody, which specifically binds to a second binding specificity of the bispecific antibody, which is different from the first binding specificity, whereby the anti-idiotypic antibody is bound to a solid phase.
NOVEL BIOMARKER FOR DIAGNOSING AND PREDICTING METASTASIS OR PROGNOSIS OF VARIOUS CANCERS, AND USE
The present invention relates to a novel biomarker for diagnosing cancer, and a use thereof. STC1, a novel biomarker for diagnosing or predicting the prognosis of cancer according to the present invention, was found to be related to poor prognosis of cancer patients according to the expression level, and was found to be overexpressed in various cancer cell lines. In addition, STC1 was found to be a biomarker related to the proliferation, invasion, and migration (metastasis) of cancer cells. In addition, it was found that STC1 is detected in the serum or urine of bladder cancer patients, and can be effectively used for diagnosing and predicting the prognosis of bladder cancer by identifying differences in expression according to the patient's clinical stage.
Electrode and Use Thereof
The application relates to an electrode for use in the electrochemical detection of a target species, wherein the electrode has a planar surface disposed on which are probe molecules that are capable of binding selectively to the target species, wherein the electrode, prior to binding of the probe molecules with the target species, has an electron transfer resistance per area of the electrode of from 10 megaohms cm.sup.?2 to 95 megaohms cm.sup.?2.

Methods for producing virus particles with simplified glycosylation of surface proteins
Methods for producing virus particles and viral antigens with simplified glycosylation profiles, such as mono-glycosylated forms of HIV, HCV, Dengue virus, West Nile virus and influenza virus. When used as targets for vaccine production, the conserved nature of such sites generate vaccines that are less sensitive to viral mutations. Such methods may include the use of glycosylation inhibitors for production of viruses or viral antigens with simplified glycosylation profiles.
Sample concentrator and method of use
The present disclosure provides an assembly for preparing a sample for analysis. The assembly comprises a hollow body comprising first opening, an outlet with a second opening, and a fluid pathway extending therebetween; a filter element operatively interposed in the fluid pathway; and a closure comprising a third opening and a chamber, the closure being slideably engaged with the outlet. The chamber and the outlet are dimensioned so that the outlet is sealingly engaged with the chamber. A method of using the assembly to detect a microorganism is also provided.
Buoyant pool lounge chair frame and buoyant pool lounge chair using the same
A buoyant pool lounge chair frame and buoyant pool lounge chair using the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the buoyant pool lounge chair frame for supporting a floatation device while the buoyant pool chair frame is floating in water, a pod frame is provided including a rigid base portion and a window having a vertical opening therethrough. A substantially inverted parabolic surface is positioned at the front of the pod frame and a centra including a rigid back is positioned at the rear of the pod frame such that the window is therebetween. The pod frame is sized to accept a floatation device such that the substantially inverted parabolic surface and the centra engage the floatation device in a load-bearing relationship.
