IMMUNOCHROMATOGRAPHIC KIT AND METHOD FOR DETECTING MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS
An object of the present invention is to provide an immunochromatographic kit and a method, which are capable of detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis with high-sensitivity and specificity. According to the present invention, an immunochromatographic kit for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis is provided, the kit including: a label substance modified with a first antibody against lipoarabinomannan; a porous carrier having a reaction site holding a second antibody against lipoarabinomannan; a compound containing silver; and a reducing agent reducing silver ions, in which at least one of the first antibody or the second antibody is a monoclonal antibody.
Collision surface for improved ionisation
An apparatus for performing ambient ionization mass and/or ion mobility spectrometry is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a substantially cylindrical, tubular, rod-shaped, coil-shaped, helical or spiral-shaped collision assembly; and a first device arranged and adapted to direct analyte, smoke, fumes, liquid, gas, surgical smoke, aerosol or vapor onto said collision assembly.
INLET INSTRUMENTATION FOR ION ANALYSER COUPLED TO RAPID EVAPORATIVE IONISATION MASS SPECTROMETRY ("REIMS") DEVICE
An apparatus is disclosed comprising a first device for generating aerosol, smoke or vapour from one or more regions of a target, an inlet conduit to an ion analyser or mass spectrometer, the inlet conduit having an inlet through which the aerosol, smoke or vapour passes, and a Venturi pump arrangement arranged and adapted to direct the aerosol, smoke or vapour towards the inlet.
Multivalent glycopeptides that tightly bind to target proteins
The invention relates to a glycopolypeptide that includes one or more modified amino acid residues having a sidechain comprising a monosaccharide or an oligosaccharide, wherein the glycopolypeptide binds specifically to a carbohydrate-binding monoclonal antibody with an affinity of less than 100 nM. Immunogenic conjugates that include the glycopolypeptide, and pharmaceutical compositions that include the glycopolypeptide or the immunogenic conjugate are also disclosed. Various method of using the glycopolypeptides, immunogenic conjugates, and pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed, including inducing an immune response, inhibiting viral or bacterial infection, treating a cancerous condition, and detecting a neutralizing antibody.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DESIGNING AND/OR CHARACTERIZING SOLUBLE LIPIDATED LIGAND AGENTS
The present application provides methods for preparing soluble lipidated ligand agents comprising a ligand entity and a lipid entity, and in some embodiments, provides relevant parameters of each of these components, thereby enabling appropriate selection of components to assemble active agents for any given target of interest.
LIPID BIOMARKERS FOR CANCER SCREENING AND MONITORING
Provided herein are biomarkers for cancer screening and monitoring. In particular, provided herein are lipid biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, risk, and response to treatment.
METHOD FOR MEASURING STEROL IN LIPOPROTEIN
Disclosed is a method for measuring sterol in lipoprotein, comprising: forming a complex by contacting lipoprotein in a sample, a tagged sterol, and a first capture body that specifically binds to the tag and has a labeling substance with each other, the complex comprising the lipoprotein comprising the tagged sterol and the first capture body; and detecting a signal generated by the labeling substance comprised in the complex, wherein in the tagged sterol, the tag is added to C3 position of a sterol skeleton.
Spectrometric analysis of microbes
A method of analysis using mass spectrometry and/or ion mobility spectrometry is disclosed. The method comprises: using a first device to generate smoke, aerosol or vapour from a target comprising or consisting of a microbial population; mass analysing and/or ion mobility analysing said smoke, aerosol or vapour, or ions derived therefrom, in order to obtain spectrometric data; and analysing said spectrometric data in order to analyse said microbial population.
Isotopically-labeled cholesteryl ester internal standard composition and kit
Methods are provided for synthesizing mixtures of lipids that are representative of the structural diversity of the lipids present in samples of interest. The complex mixtures of lipids produced according to the methods of the present disclosure can be used as internal standards for detecting and quantifying the lipids in samples of interest. Kits including the internal standards and instructions for their use in the detection and quantification of lipids in samples of interest are also provided.
Oxidative stress biomarkers testing in canines
Diagnosing an oxidative stress (OS) in companion animals comprises screening a bodily fluid sample to detect the presence of an OS biomarker, selectively isoprostane and antioxidants, HODE, microRNAs, TAC, GSH, MDA, and TNF-alpha. The sample can be saliva.
