Method and kit for detecting glutathione
A method for detecting glutathione includes mixing a sample including glutathione, 9-bromomethyl acridine (Br-MA) and a derivatization solvent to form a reaction solution. A derivative reaction occurs between Br-MA and glutathione to obtain a derivatization solution including a glutathione derivative with a thiol group being substituted with a tag. Excess Br-MA is removed by adding an interference removing solvent into the derivatization solution, followed by vortexing and centrifugation to obtain an aqueous layer solution. The aqueous layer solution is used as an analytic solution, and the glutathione derivative in the analytic solution is detected to obtain a glutathione value. The present invention also provides a kit for detecting glutathione which is adapted to carry out the method for detecting glutathione.
Detection of polymyxins
The present invention relates to antibodies for use in detecting polymyxins and tracers; and to a single-capture immunodetection method and kits, each utilising the antibodies of the invention, and disclosed tracers.
Method for predicting the risk of getting cancer or diagnosing cancer in a subject
A method for predicting the risk of getting cancer in a subject that does not suffer from cancer or alternatively diagnosing cancer in a subject, where the method includes determining the level of Pro-Tachykinin, its splice variants or fragments thereof of at least 5 amino acids, where the fragments including Substance P and Neurokinin, in a bodily fluid obtained from the subject; and correlating the level of Pro-Tachykinin, its splice variants or fragments thereof with a risk for getting cancer, wherein a reduced Pro-Tachykinin level is predictive for an enhanced risk of getting cancer or alternatively diagnosing cancer wherein a reduced level is correlated with the diagnosis of cancer.
THIOLATED AROMATIC BLOCKING STRUCTURES FOR EAB BIOSENSORS
The present invention provides self-assembled monolayers (SAM) configured for use with electrochemical aptamer-based biosensors, which allow sensing devices to detect very low concentrations of target analytes in a biofluid sample. Embodiments of the disclosed invention include SAMs with improved long-term stability in sweat through persistent thiolate bonds between the sensor electrode and disclosed blocker groups, or between the sensor electrode and aptamer sensing elements via disclosed binder molecules. Embodiments of the invention also include blocker groups configured to form densely packed and persistent SAMs on sensor electrodes.
Anti-CK8 antibodies for use in the treatment of colorectal cancers
The present disclosure relates to a human CK8 antigen peptide, an antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, or a humanized antibody, specifically binding the peptide having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 29, a fragment of CK-8. Said molecules can be used use in the detection and/or treatment of tumors whose cells express CK8 protein, in particular the peptide of sequence according to SEQ ID No.29, on their surface.
