SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING GRAIN CART WEIGHT
A system of improved weighing utilizes accelerometers to compensate for measurement dynamics and non-level sensor orientation. Fill level of remote combines can be estimated by utilizing their historical harvesting performance and elapsed time or area harvested. Failure and degradation of weight sensors is detected by testing sensor half bridges. Loading and unloading weights can be tied to specific vehicles by utilizing RF beacons. Display location diversity is enhanced utilizing a mirror located as necessary while reversing the displayed image.
Method and navigation system for assisting a visually impaired user to safely walk around obstructions and impediments
A computer-implemented method and a navigation system are described for guiding a visually impaired user to avoid obstructions and impediments while walking. The user may wear a plurality of subassemblies of the system. The tilt and rotation of the user's head may be monitored using one of the subassemblies worn on the user's head. Based at least in part on the tilt and rotation of the user's head, vertical and horizontal firing angles used by a distance measuring unit in each of the subassemblies may be calculated to transmit and receive laser signals to perform measurements. The user is then provided with navigation instructions and alarms based on whether an obstruction or an impediment is detected that is closer than a predetermined distance to the user while the user is walking based on the measurements.
Light-diffusing optical elements having cladding with scattering centers
A light-diffusing optical element with efficient coupling to light sources with high numerical aperture. The light-diffusing optical element includes a higher index core surrounded by a lower index cladding. The cladding includes scattering centers that scatter evanescent light entering the cladding from the core. The scattered light exits the element to provide broad-area illumination along the element. Scattering centers include dopants, nanoparticles and/or internal voids. The core may also include scattering centers. The core is glass and the cladding may be glass or a polymer. The element features high numerical aperture and high scattering efficiency.
ULTRASOUND ASSISTED LOCATION AND ACCESS CONTROL
A system and method for performing an operation at a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes a first acoustic transceiver that transmits and receives inaudible acoustic signals and a second acoustic transceiver that transmits and receives inaudible acoustic signals. The second acoustic transceiver is stationary with respect to the vehicle. A processor receive an inaudible acoustic signal transmitted between the first acoustic transceiver and the second acoustic transceiver, determines a location of the first acoustic transceiver with respect to the vehicle from the received signal, and performs an operation at the vehicle based on the location of the first acoustic transceiver with respect to the vehicle.
System and method for dual-mode location determination
A geographic tracking system with minimal power and size required at the mobile terminal collects observation data at the mobile terminal, forwards the data to a processor, which calculates the position. The mobile terminal needs only to gather a few milliseconds of observation data, and to relay this observation data to the processor. In one embodiment, the observation data is communicated to the processor using either a satellite communication network or through a mobile telephone network.
Method and apparatus for tracking object
An object tracking method and apparatus are provided. The object tracking method includes detecting a target object in a first-type input image that is based on light in a first wavelength band, tracking the target object in the first-type input image based on detection information of the target object, measuring a reliability of the first-type input image by comparing the first-type image to an image in a database, comparing the reliability of the first-type input image to a threshold, and tracking the target object in a second-type input image that is based on light in a second wavelength band.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACQUIRING AND SENDING STATION INFORMATION, AND SIGNAL TRANSCEIVING SYSTEM
A method for acquiring vehicle station information includes: sending a connection verification signal; establishing, in response to receiving a verification success signal, a communication link with a vehicle station, and switching to a data receiving state; and receiving, through the communication link, environmental video data corresponding to a preset range of the vehicle station for display.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING PROXIMITY OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for determining, by an electronic device, proximity of an external electronic device. A method, performed by an electronic device, of determining proximity of an external electronic device includes: measuring a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of a wireless communication signal received from the external electronic device when the electronic device is at a first position; measuring an RSSI of a wireless communication signal received from the external electronic device when the electronic device is at a second position different from the first position; and determining whether the external electronic device is proximate, based on a difference between the RSSI measured at the first position and the RSSI measured at the second position.
