Method and apparatus for tracking eyes of user and method of generating inverse-transform image
There is provided a method and apparatus for tracking eyes of a user. The method and apparatus may acquire an image of the user, acquire an illuminance of a viewpoint from which the image is captured, and output coordinates of the eyes tracked from the image by operating at least one of a high illuminance eye tracker that operates at a high illuminance or a low illuminance eye tracker that operates at a low illuminance based on the acquired illuminance.
Determining direction of arrival of an electromagnetic wave
A system for direction of arrival determination includes a waveform detector and processing circuitry. The waveform detector includes a first pair of dielectric structures and a second pair of dielectric structures. The processing circuitry is configured to determine a direction of arrival of an electromagnetic wave incident on the waveform detector. The direction of arrival is determined based on relative power levels in the first pair of dielectric structures responsive to the electromagnetic wave and based on relative power levels in the second pair of dielectric structures responsive to the electromagnetic wave.

Method and apparatus for focusing
The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for focusing, applied in image processing field, enabling a terminal in an automatic focusing process not to suspend automatic focus function. The method includes: determining an imaging mode switched from a first picture taking device in a first imaging mode to the first picture taking device or a second picture taking device in a second imaging mode, estimating a second position of the target object in the second imaging mode according to a first position of a target object in the first imaging mode and a principle of epipolar geometry, and searching for the target object in the second imaging mode according to the estimated second position of the target object in the second imaging mode.

Focus detection device and focus detection method
A focus detection device, comprising an image sensor that outputs an imaging signal, and one or more processors constructed in hardware, the processor performing focus detection using a phase difference detection method based on the imaging signal, wherein the focus detection performs first focus detection based on a signal that has been obtained by subjecting the imaging signal to first filter processing, performs second focus detection based on a signal that has been obtained by subjecting the imaging signal to second filter processing if reliability of the first focus detection is lower than a specified value, and if it is determined that reliability of the second focus detection is lower than a specified value executes third focus detection based on a picture signal that has been obtained by adding a plurality of imaging signals that have been obtained at different times.
DETACHABLE MINI-CAMERA DEVICE
Integrated but detachable mini-camera for a mobile device. The mobile device comprises a main body and a detachable mini-camera configured to attach to and detach from a socket in the main body. The detachable mini-camera may comprise at least one camera and a rechargeable battery configured to, while the detached mini-camera is attached to the main body, charge from a battery in the main body via the socket. While the detachable mini-camera is detached from the main body, a wireless transceiver in the detachable mini-camera wirelessly communicates with a wireless transceiver in the main body, and a mobile application, executed by a processor in the main body, controls the detachable mini-camera and receives image data from the detachable mini-camera via the wireless communication.

Image pickup device and method of tracking subject thereof
The present invention provides an image pickup device that recognizes the object that the user is attempting to capture as the subject, tracks the movement of that subject, and can continue tracking the movement of the subject even when the subject leaves the capturing area so that the subject can always be reliably brought into focus. The image pickup device includes a main camera that captures the subject; an EVF that displays the captured image captured by the main camera, a sub-camera that captures the subject using a wider capturing region than the main camera, and a processing unit that extracts the subject from the captured images captured by the main camera and the sub-camera, tracks the extracted subject, and brings the subject into focus when an image of the subject is actually captured. When the subject moves outside of a capturing region of the main camera, the processing unit tracks the subject extracted from the captured image captured by the sub-camera.
