Systems and methods for ultrasound review and imaging
A system for reviewing results of ultrasound examinations provides enhanced control over reviewed images. A review and imaging system receives additional data comprising one or more of additional ultrasound images generated using parameter settings different from those selected by and sonographer and earlier stage ultrasound data. An ultrasound machine may be configured to acquire and make the additional data available to the review and imaging system. The review and imaging system may provide a wide range of control options for obtaining optimized display of images based on the additional data.
BISTATIC CHANNEL ESTIMATION USING RANGING FEEDBACK
Aspects relate to techniques for communication between wireless communication devices using ranging channel information obtained by each of the wireless communication devices. For example, a first wireless communication device may obtain first monostatic ranging channel information based on reflected ranging signals received in response to transmission of a ranging signal. In addition, the first wireless communication device may receive ranging feedback information from a second wireless communication device associated with second monostatic ranging channel information obtained by the second wireless communication device. The first wireless communication device may then determine bistatic channel information from the first monostatic ranging channel information and the ranging feedback information and transmit a message to the second wireless communication device based on the bistatic channel information.
CASTABLE SONAR DEVICES AND OPERATIONS IN A MARINE ENVIRONMENT
Many different types of systems are utilized and tasks are performed in a marine environment. The present invention provides various configurations of castable devices that can be operated and/or controlled for such systems or tasks. One or more castable devices can be integrated with a transducer assembly, such as a phased array, that emits sonar beams and receives sonar returns from the underwater environment. Processing circuitry may receive the sonar returns, process the sonar returns, generate an image, and transmit the image to a display.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND SENSING METHOD
A communication device according to the present invention comprising: a transmission unit that transmits request information requesting sensing of a target; a reception unit that receives result information indicating a sensing result, from a first communication device that has sensed the target according to the request information; and a control unit that determines a state of the target on the basis of the sensing result indicated in the result information and a sensing result of the target that has been sensed by the communicate on device.
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION DEVICE
A photoelectric conversion element provided in a semiconductor layer having first and second surfaces includes a first region of a first conductivity type, a second region of a second conductivity type closer to the second surface than the first region and forming a p-n junction with the first region, a third region of the first conductivity type closer to the second surface than the second region, a fourth region of the second conductivity type closer to the second surface than the third region, a fifth region of the second conductivity type between the third fourth regions, and a sixth region of the second conductivity type surrounding a region where the first, second, third, and fifth regions are disposed in a plan view. The fifth region has an area smaller than that of the third region in the plan view, and overlaps with the first region in the plan view.
Radar system to track low flying unmanned aerial vehicles and objects
A radar system for tracking UAVs and other low flying objects utilizing wireless networking equipment is provided. The system is implemented as a distributed low altitude radar system where transmitting antennas are coupled with the wireless networking equipment to radiate signals in a skyward direction. A receiving antenna or array receives signals radiated from the transmitting antenna, and in particular, signals or echoes reflected from the object in the skyward detection region. One or more processing components is electronically coupled with the wireless networking equipment and receiving antenna to receive and manipulate signal information to provide recognition of and track low flying objects and their movement within the coverage region. The system may provide detection of objects throughout a plurality of regions by networking regional nodes, and aggregating the information to detect and track UAVs and other low flying objects as they move within the detection regions.
System and method for joint radar-sensing and communication waveform utilizing unique word OFDM (UW-OFDM)
A system and method utilizing a novel waveform structure based on unique word (UW)—orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is proposed for the applications of joint radar-sensing and communication (JRC). A predetermined chirp sequence is used as the UW in the waveform. The predetermined chirp sequence is used to perform radar functionality, which also increases power efficiency of linear power amplifier that is critical for radar applications.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISTINGUISHING PERSONS FROM OTHER ENTITIES USING NETWORK PRESENCE SENSING
Systems and methods for detecting the presence of a body (typically a human) in a network without fiducial elements while additionally using fiducial elements to assist the system and possibly reduce the computational loading on the system. The fiducial element may be used in many ways including, without limitation, assisting in ignoring some bodies present in the detection area and training the system using additional data.
Interval management using data overlay
Computer assistance in interval management may be beneficial in a number of ways. For example, digital communication of interval management instructions or information related to interval management may beneficially be communicated to aircraft with respect to other aircraft. This information may be communicated overlaid on air traffic control (ATC) communications, or otherwise. A method can include, for example, obtaining a spacing goal for an aircraft relative to a target aircraft. The method can also include determining clearance instructions for the aircraft, wherein the speed guidance is based on the spacing goal. The method can further include transmitting the clearance instructions in a computer-readable format to the aircraft. The instructions can be provided by an overlay-modulated signal of a provided modulated ATC signal. The instructions can be configured to enable control of the aircraft to achieve the spacing goal.
RADIO FREQUENCY (RF)-BASED RANGING AND IMAGING IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS CIRCUIT, PARTICULARLY FOR A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (WCS)
Radio frequency (RF)-based ranging and imaging in a wireless communications circuit, particularly for a wireless communications system (WCS) is provided. The wireless communications circuit includes an antenna circuit configured to radiate an RF probing signal in a number of directions in a wireless communications cell and receives a number of RF reflection signals corresponding to the RF probing signal. A radar signal processing (RSP) circuit is configured to process the RF reflection signals to detect an obstacle(s) in the wireless communications cell and generate a surrounding image that includes the detected obstacle(s). By generating the surrounding image of the wireless communications cell, it may be possible to detect the obstacle(s) that was not accounted for in an initial deployment design. As a result, it may be possible to adjust a remote unit(s) incorporating the wireless communications circuit to improve RF coverage, throughput, and/or capacity in the wireless communications cell.
