SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING LIQUID EXTRACTS
The present disclosure is generally related to systems and methods for producing liquid extracts from a solid raw material, as well as related equipment. Certain aspects are related to the production of multiple liquid extract products using a single system by adjusting one or more displaceable fluidic pathway segments within the system to switch between first and second (or more) extraction configurations. In certain embodiments, a first liquid extract can be produced when the displaceable fluidic pathway segment is in a first configuration, and a second liquid extract (different from the first liquid extract) can be produced when the displaceable fluidic pathway segment in in a second configuration (different from the first configuration).
Virtual sight glass for a portable beverage dispensing container
A portable beverage dispensing container comprises a housing and an internal beverage holding tank positioned in and contained within the housing. The internal beverage holding tank is configured to receive and store a beverage, and the internal beverage holding tank is constructed from a translucent material. The housing includes an opening through a rear surface thereof, such that light from a light source (which is installed at a brewing station) can be directed through the opening and through the internal beverage holding tank, such a light pattern is projected on a sight glass window on a front surface of the housing that provides a visual indication of provide a visual indication of the level of the beverage in the shuttle, along with a visual indication of the status of the brewed beverage.
A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A BEVERAGE
A method for producing a beverage, for example cold-brewed tea or cold-brewed coffee, comprises exposing flavour materials (23), for example tea leaves or ground coffee beans, to hot water or steam to steep the flavour materials (23), circulating a mixture of the steeped flavour materials (23) and cold water in a brewing chamber (16), and dispensing the mixture through a filter device (18) to provide the beverage.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COFFEE BEVERAGE IN A COFFEE MACHINE
A method for producing a coffee beverage in a coffee machine including: a brewing device having a brewing chamber that receives ground coffee and includes a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet; a fluid system having a fluid feed line connected to the inlet and a fluid conveyor conveying a heated fluid through the feed line. The method includes: (a) introducing ground coffee into the chamber, (b) conveying heated fluid through the feed line into the chamber for brewing the ground coffee in the chamber and dispensing the beverage through the fluid outlet. Before step (a), heated fluid is fed through the feed line into the chamber and at least a part of this heated fluid is dispensed through a drainage outlet separate from the fluid outlet and fluidly communicating with the chamber and/or the feed line, to preheat the feed line and the brewing device before beverage preparation.
COFFEE SYSTEM AND METHOD
An apparatus for preparing coffee grounds for a coffee brewing process includes a control system that receives a coffee order. The coffee order includes information indicative of a composition of coffee beans ordered, and a quantity of the coffee beans to be included in the composition. A metering device receives the coffee beans from a hopper assembly, and is controlled by the control system to: measure the quantity of the coffee beans to be included in the composition, and output the quantity of the coffee beans measured from an outlet aperture. An inlet aperture of a grinder receives the measured quantity of the coffee beans output through the outlet aperture of the metering device and grinds the coffee beans to produce ground coffee. A nozzle is arranged to introduce moisture to the ground coffee output by the grinder, producing ground and moistened coffee that is dispensed for brewing coffee in fulfillment of the coffee order.
Automatic machine to deliver beverages
An automatic machine to deliver a beverage containing caffeine includes a water container, a possible pump, a filtering element to contain, during use, a powdered mixture, a main pipe that connects the container to the filtering element, and a heating element, associated with the container and/or with the main pipe, able to be selectively activated to heat the stream of water delivered from the container toward the filtering element in order to infuse the powdered mixture.
COFFEE DISPENSER
The coffee dispenser disclosed herein may serve a single serving of coffee. The coffee dispenser may including a coffee concentrate fluid line which intersects with a water fluid line at a junction to allow mixing of coffee concentrate with water as the respective fluids flow through the coffee dispenser.
MODULAR BREW SYSTEMS
A modular brewing system is described for providing hot water and managing power to multiple brew tower modules using a single centralized boiler and power management module so as to limit the number of high-power circuits required in a coffeehouse or store. The boiler and power management module manages power of components of the centralized boiler assembly and any brew tower modules connected thereto, including the boiler heaters, the grinder motors, and the brew chamber heaters.
Travel coffee kit
A compact, lightweight coffee-making kit designed for use in travel includes a kettle for boiling water; an electric power base; a drinking cup with a removable lid; a pour-over-style funnel filter support; a container for coffee beans or grounds; and a carrying case. All the components are sized to stack into each other to form a composite kit that fits into a carrying case.
ADDITIVE DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND CONTAINERS
A compact filtering and additive delivery system which is readily adaptable to a portable container, such as a sports bottle, and receives a modular additive container for the metered delivery of additive, such as flavor concentrate, to a stream of base liquid as the base liquid is drawn or dispensed from the container. The modular additive container configuration on the delivery system allows a consumer/user to experience different additives, such as different flavors or supplement compositions, for a given supply of base liquid, such as water, stored in the container. The system may be readily used with off-the-shelf containers, such as disposable water bottles. An additive container configuration provides modular additive delivery system as described herein.
