20230113722 · 2023-04-13 ·

A viewing optic is disclosed. In one embodiment, the viewing optic is a rifle scope having a scope body, a movable optical element defining an optical axis connected to the scope body, a turret and a zero point adjustment subassembly. The turret includes a turret screw, a turret chassis subassembly and a turret cap. The turret screw defines a screw axis and is operably connected to the optical element for adjusting the optical axis in response to rotation of the screw. The turret cap at least partially overlaps the turret chassis subassembly. The zero point adjustment subassembly includes a zero cap connected to the turret screw and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism releasably secures the zero cap and the turret. The zero point adjustment subassembly permits adjustment of the zero point without the use of tools.

ASTRONOMICAL TELESCOPE STAND, AUXILIARY CALIBRATION METHOD FOR ASTRONOMICAL TELESCOPE AND ASTRONOMICAL TELESCOPE SYSTEM
20230154045 · 2023-05-18 ·

Disclosed are an astronomical telescope stand, an auxiliary calibration method for the astronomical telescope and an astronomical telescope system. The astronomical telescope includes at least two rotating shafts perpendicular to each other, each rotating shaft is provided with an encoder; an electronic camera shooting in the same direction as the telescope to be mounted; a display screen; a processor that connects with the encoder, the electronic camera and the display screen; the processor includes an image information parsing module, an electronic image generation module and a coordinate correction module. The telescope is mounted on the stand, and the electronic camera shoots the same image as the image observed by the telescope. The image information parsing module solves the image to obtain the center coordinate and the field size of the image. The electronic image generation module generates the simulated image according to the center coordinate and the field size.

Volumetric LED alignment aid for sighting device
11644275 · 2023-05-09 ·

An apparatus and method of manufacturing a sighting device mountable to a gun to assist a shooter in aiming at a target. The apparatus comprises an optical element and a light source which provide feedback to the user regarding alignment with a target. The alignment aid optical element is a ring of transparent material with a user-facing, contoured surface with an inner and outer edge. The contoured surface is coated with a reflective material that reflects a narrow band of light wavelengths. The apparatus further comprises a light source coupled to a mount located at a focal point of the lens wherein the emission of light from the light source faces the lens. The wavelengths emitted from the light source correspond to those of the coatings on the lens.

METHOD OF REDUCING DISTURBANCE DURING CAPTURING IMAGES OF FAINT OBJECTS
20230209219 · 2023-06-29 ·

The invention relates to a field of capturing images requiring a long exposure, e.g., when faint objects are observed. The method is characterized by determination of coordinates of a field of observation and time of capturing observation results for an object to be captured, based on signals of projection by an optical system of an observation device on an array of a photo-receiving device. After that, time of presence of projections of the optical disturbance sources in the field of observation is determined, based on signals related to trajectories of the optical disturbance sources, and arriving optical signal to the array of the photo-receiving device is blocked for a time period, when the projections are resided in the field of observation during capturing the observation results. A technical effect attained by the invention is reducing effect of disturbances during imaging of faint objects.
