An optical device includes a phosphor wheel and two light sources. The phosphor wheel has two phosphor regions. The phosphor regions are located at different radial positions of the phosphor wheel and are not overlapped. Each of the phosphor regions has a plurality of color sections. The light sources emit two light beams so as to respectively provide two light spots on the phosphor wheel. During the rotation of the phosphor wheel, the light spots are located at the color sections having the same fluorescent characteristic respectively in the phosphor regions.

AIR QUALITY MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230045528 · 2023-02-09 ·

In an illustrative configuration, a method for monitoring air quality is disclosed. The method includes accepting analyte gas into a cell and reflecting light rays into the analyte gas repeatedly across the cell into at least one sensor. The light scattered by particulate matter in the analyte gas and amount of spectra-absorption due to presence of a gaseous chemical is then measured. Based on the determined amount of spectra-absorption and the measured scattered light the gaseous chemical is then measured.

Enhanced response time of tunable optical electrowetting elements with shaped input voltage functions

A tunable optical electrowetting element having a liquid-liquid interface shape controlled by an applied voltage. Circuitry for applying a voltage to the electrowetting element is configured to apply a shaped voltage signal comprising a first fast-rising signal combined with a second fast-rising signal. The second signal is selected to damp oscillations in the liquid-liquid interface caused by the first signal.

Optical system

An optical system is provided, including a fixed assembly, a plurality of movable members, and a plurality of driving assemblies respectively connected to the movable members. The movable members are connected to an optical element and movable relative to the fixed assembly. The driving assemblies respectively drive the movable members to move relative to the fixed assembly in different time intervals.

An example apparatus may include a display and an optical configuration configured to provide an image of the display. The optical configuration may include a lens having a lens surface that supports at least one serpentine electrode. The at least one serpentine electrode may be in electrical communication with an electrical component such as an electrooptical component (e.g., including at least one of a laser, light-emitting diode, photodiode, or image sensor) or an electroactive component that may show one or more dimensional changes under application of an electric field. An example apparatus may also include a controller in electrical communication with the electrical component through the at least one serpentine electrode. In some examples, the serpentine electrode may have an approximately sinusoidal shape. Other devices, methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Light source device and projection system

A light source device, includes an excitation light source for generating excitation light, a light condensing device, and a fluorescent cavity. The fluorescent cavity includes a chamber and a fluorescent layer, the chamber having a light window for allowing light to enter and exit and a bottom wall opposite to the light window. The fluorescent layer is provided on the surface of the bottom wall. The excitation light is concentrated by the light condensing device, and then is incident from the light window to the surface of the fluorescent layer to form a light spot and excite the fluorescent layer to generate a laser.
