OPTICAL IMAGING LENS
Present embodiments provide for an optical imaging lens. The optical imaging lens may comprise four lens elements positioned sequentially from an object side to an image side. Through controlling the convex or concave shape of the surfaces of the lens elements and designing parameters satisfying at least one inequality, the optical imaging lens may exhibit better optical characteristics and the total length of the optical imaging lens may be shortened.
OPTICAL IMAGING LENS
Present embodiments provide for an optical imaging lens. The optical imaging lens comprises a first lens element, a second lens element, a third lens element and a fourth lens element positioned in an order from an object side to an image side. Through controlling the convex or concave shape of the surfaces of the lens elements and designing parameters satisfying at least one inequality, the optical imaging lens shows better optical characteristics and enlarge field angle while the total length of the optical imaging lens is shortened.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BIOMECHANICALLY-BASED EYE SIGNALS FOR INTERACTING WITH REAL AND VIRTUAL OBJECTS
Systems and methods are provided for discerning the intent of a device wearer primarily based on movements of the eyes. The system may be included within unobtrusive headwear that performs eye tracking and controls screen display. The system may also utilize remote eye tracking camera(s), remote displays and/or other ancillary inputs. Screen layout is optimized to facilitate the formation and reliable detection of rapid eye signals. The detection of eye signals is based on tracking physiological movements of the eye that are under voluntary control by the device wearer. The detection of eye signals results in actions that are compatible with wearable computing and a wide range of display devices.
IMAGING LENS
An imaging lens includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, a fifth lens, a sixth lens, a seventh lens and an eighth lens sequentially arranged from a magnifying side to a narrowing side. The second lens and the third lens constitute a first composite lens, the fourth lens and the fifth lens constitute a second composite lens, and the sixth lens and the seventh lens constitute a third composite lens. The imaging lens has the advantages of small size and good imaging quality.
METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING IRIS BASED ON USER INTENTION AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR THE SAME
A method and an apparatus include a display, an iris scanning sensor, and a processor functionally coupled with the display, and the iris scanning sensor, wherein the processor activates the iris scanning sensor when receiving a display-on event in a display-off state that is an intended user input.
Optical waveguide beam splitter for directional illumination of display
An optical device includes a light source configured to provide illumination light and a waveguide. The waveguide has an input surface, an output surface distinct from and non-parallel to the input surface, and an output coupler. The waveguide is configured to receive, at the input surface, the illumination light provided by the light source and propagate the illumination light via total internal reflection. The waveguide is also configured to redirect, by the output coupler, the illumination light so that the illumination light is output from the output surface for illuminating a spatial light modulator.

A portable device for attaching a connector to an optical fiber, the optical fiber having an end, the device comprising means for receiving the optical fiber at the end of the optical fiber; and a connector station for autonomously attaching the connector to the optical fiber.
OPTICAL IMAGE CAPTURING SYSTEM
An optical image capturing system includes, along the optical axis in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, a fifth lens, a sixth lens, and a seventh lens. At least one lens among the first to the sixth lenses has positive refractive force. The seventh lens has negative refractive force, wherein both surfaces thereof can be aspheric, and at least one surface thereof has an inflection point. The lenses in the optical image capturing system which have refractive power include the first to the seventh lenses. The optical image capturing system can increase aperture value and improve the imaging quality for use in compact cameras.
FOCUS CONTROL FOR VIRTUAL OBJECTS IN AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) AND VIRTUAL REALITY (VR) DISPLAYS
Embodiments described herein include an optical system, and associated method and computer program product. The optical system comprises one or more display devices, and one or more computer processors configured to transmit display signals comprising at least one virtual object for updating imagery displayed by the display devices, and to selectively defocus a focus of the virtual object.
Optical imaging lens assembly, image capturing unit and electronic device
An optical imaging lens assembly includes seven lens elements which are, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens element, a second lens element, a third lens element, a fourth lens element, a fifth lens element, a sixth lens element and a seventh lens element. Each of the seven lens elements has an object-side surface facing toward the object side and an image-side surface facing toward the image side. The object-side surface of the first lens element is convex in a paraxial region thereof, and at least one surface among the object-side surfaces and the image-side surfaces of the seven lens elements has at least one inflection point.
