Clip type display module and glass type terminal having the same
An optical device detachably attached to a frame fixed to a user's head is provided. The optical device includes a body extending in one direction, a display extending in a direction intersecting the one direction, connected to the body, and disposed to be adjacent to the user's eye when fixed to the frame, so as to provide visual information, and a clip module protruding from the body and caught in one region of the frame.
Customized near-eye electronic display device
An augmented reality device includes a frame assembly including a nose piece and a pair of temple pads configured to accommodate a plurality of fit points of a user. A set of mountings on the frame assembly is configured to mount to the frame assembly any of a plurality of different see-through display modules having different exit pupil distances. A see-through display module is coupled to the frame assembly via the set of mountings. The see-through display module is selected from among the plurality of different see-through display modules to match an exit pupil distance of the see-through display module to an inter-pupillary distance of the user.
Customized viewing system for an optical device
A customized viewing system for an optical device to alleviate back and neck strain.
Magnetic end effector
A magnetic end effector utilizing a switchable Halbach array includes a pair of opposing members that can move towards and away from each other. The switchable Halbach arrays are located on or near the inner surface of the opposing members. A mechanical switching system is used to control the switchable Halbach arrays by moving one or more magnets that make up the switchable Halbach arrays. When manipulated in a certain way, the switchable Halbach arrays cause the opposing members to move towards each other, and when manipulate in a different manner, cause the opposing members to move away from each other.
Battery assembly for a wearable electronic device
Apparatuses, systems and methods for electronic wearable devices such as smart glasses are described. According to one embodiment, a temple assembly forming part of the smart glasses is disclosed. The assembly can include a temple mechanical connection, a battery carrier, a battery, and a temple body. The temple mechanical connection is configured to form an articulated joint at a first longitudinal end portion thereof with a frame of the wearable electronic glasses. The battery carrier is rigidly attached to the temple mechanical connection at a second longitudinal end portion thereof. The battery is mounted on the battery carrier. The temple body comprises a plastics material, and is configured to house the battery and battery carrier and interface with the second longitudinal end portion of the temple mechanical connection. The battery and battery carrier are generally longitudinally aligned along a longitudinal extent of the temple body, and are configured to form at least part of a structural framework for the temple body.
Antenna designs for wearable heads-up displays
The present disclosure relates to systems, devices and methods for eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable electronic devices, and particularly relates to systems, devices, and methods that employ an antenna in eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable heads-up displays. In an embodiment, a pair of eyeglasses includes a first arm housing a radio and an antenna passing internally from the radio to at least a portion of a front eyeglass frame, which includes a first and second rim securely physically coupled by a bridge. A power source is coupled to the first arm or a second arm and electrically coupled to the radio via an electrically conductive path.
Eyewear supporting embedded and tethered electronic components
Techniques for providing eyewear with electrical components are disclosed. The electrical components can provide electrical technology to eyewear (e.g., eyeglasses) without having to substantially compromise aesthetic design principles of the eyewear. Often, the electrical components can be attached to the eyewear as an after-market enhancement. The electrical components can operate independently or together with other electrical components provided elsewhere. In some embodiments, tethered electrical components can be coupled to electrical components in or attached to a pair of eyeglasses. Tethered electrical components, alone or in combination with eyeglass electrical components can be used for a variety of different applications and uses.
Systems, devices, and methods for wearable heads-up displays
Systems, devices, and methods for wearable heads-up displays (WHUD) are described. A WHUD includes a front frame with two openings each with one recess which extends along at least a portion of the periphery of the openings, two arms including frame portions and temple portions, two lenses, a projector to generate light, and a holographic optical element (HOE) carried by a lens to redirect light to an eye of a user. Frame portions insert into the recesses and are held in place when the lenses are inserted into the recesses, wherein when the WHUD is assembled the projector and HOE are positioned correctly to create a display for the user. The assembled WHUD is inflexible where the front frame and arms are attached such that when worn the projector maintains a fixed position relative to the HOE and the display remains undistorted and visible to the user.
Glasses with replaceable lenses
The utility model discloses glasses with replaceable lenses, and the technical scheme of the glasses comprises a glasses frame, glasses legs connected to two sides of the glasses frame, and a lens assembly detachably fit with the glasses frame, the lens assembly comprising a frame and a lens; the frame is provided with an insertion end; the glasses frame is provided with an insertion groove in inserting fit with the insertion end; a clamping groove adapted to the clamping piece is arranged on the side wall of the insertion groove is provided with a clamping piece; the side wall, opposite to the clamping piece, of the insertion end; the clamping piece is in elastic clamping fit with the clamping groove, and the utility model is simple in structure and easy to detach.
Eyewear lens coupling system
An eyewear lens coupling system and methods can be used during assembly of an eyewear. The system and methods may advantageously decrease optical distortion of the lens during assembly and use and/or may also advantageously increase retention of the lens to the eyewear frame to improve the overall quality of the eyewear.
