Eyewear with adjustable strap
Eyewear in the form of a pair of lenses and a pair of frame halves, each frame half supporting a lens. The frame halves are releasably connected to one another at the bridge between the lenses at their inner ends and the frame halves have frame half outer ends on opposite sides of the lenses from the bridge. The eyewear also includes first and second temples having temple first ends and temple second ends, the temple first ends being pivotally connected to the frame halves outer ends, each temple including a channel. The eyewear also includes a flexible strap having first and second flexible strap ends, to which are affixed first and second sliders, each slider affixed to one end of the flexible strap at the first and second flexible strap ends. The first slider is located within the channel of the first temple and sized to be slidably positioned along the channel of the first temple and the second slider is located within the channel of the second temple and sized to be adjustably positioned along the channel of the second temple, the sliders having protrusions and the channels having indents for receiving the protrusions, such that movement of the sliders enables a user to selectively change the length of the flexible strap extending between the second ends of the first and second temples.
EYEGLASS SUSPENSION DEVICE AND METHOD OF MOVING EYEGLASSES OFF THE NOSE UTILIZING THE SAME
A device and method for lifting eyeglasses off a person's nose and supporting at least some of the weight of the eyeglasses. The device includes a base encircling part of the person's head. At least one support extends from the base and operatively engages an arm of the eyeglasses. The at least one support includes first and second front supports and first and second temporal supports. Each arm of the eyeglasses rests on an upper surface of one of the first and second front supports and under a lower surface of one of the first and second temporal supports. Each arm is counterbalanced between the associated front support and temporal support and is therefore lifted upwardly or forwardly off the person's nose and/or ears. The base may be adjustable in length. The position of the first and second temporal supports on the base may also be adjustable.
EYEWEAR ATTACHMENT AND EYEWEAR ASSEMBLY
An eyewear assembly includes a lens unit and an eyewear attachment mounted to the lens unit. The eyewear attachment includes a frame unit, an engaging unit and two connecting units and an elongate wearing unit. The engaging unit extends from the frame unit toward the lens unit and includes two positioning members extending respectively from upper and lower sides of the frame unit and detachably engaging the lens unit in such a manner that the frame unit is affixed on the lens unit. The connecting units are respectively and integrally connected to two lateral sides of the frame unit. The wearing unit interconnects the connecting units so as to allow an assembly of the frame unit, the connecting units and the wearing unit to be sleeved on the head of a user.
FRAME FOR EYEWEAR PROVIDING IMPROVED PROTECTION AGAINST IONISING RADIATION AND RADIOPROTECTIVE EYEWEAR COMPRISING SUCH A FRAME
A frame for eyewear for protecting against ionizing radiation, comprising a frontal portion extending laterally by the two lateral protective elements, and a device for maintaining the frame on the face of a user under the conditions under which it is worn, and characterized in that the lateral protective elements are integrally formed with the frontal portion and in that the frontal portion and the lateral protective elements are made of a radio-attenuation material. Further, eyewear for protecting against ionizing radiation comprising such a frame and to an assembly comprising this eyewear and a device for distributing weight.
Contact lenses having an ion-impermeable portion and related methods
Contact lenses that have an ion-impermeable portion and an ion-permeable portion that are able to move on the eye without binding to the eye are described. The contact lenses exhibit an average ionoflux transmittance of at least 1.34×10.sup.−4 mm/min. One or more electronic components can be included in the contact lenses. Methods of making the contact lenses are also described.
Eyeglasses with extensions
Eyeglasses (2) comprise a pair of extensions (1) configured to be fixed each to a respective temple tip (42) of the eyeglasses (2). Each extension (1) comprises a body (5), having a first segment (53) adapted to be fixed to a respective temple tip (42) of an eyeglass (2), and a second segment (54) inclined with respect to the first segment (53). When the first segments (53) are connected each to the respective temple tip (42), the second segments (54) project from the respective temple tips (42) in directions (T) converging with each other. In this way, the second segments (54) can rest on the neck of a user and support the eyeglasses at the neck without the use of a chain. The extensions (1) are adaptable to temple tips (42) of different sizes.
Eyewear retainer apparatus
An eyewear retainer apparatus includes at least one elongate member adapted for being connected to the temples of a pair of eyeglasses and a light assembly connected to the elongate member. The light assembly can comprise a housing and a transparent or translucent cover member that can be removably attached to the housing. The transparent or translucent cover member can include a logo or other indicia engraved or printed on the surface of the cover member. The light assembly can illuminate the logo.
Electronic device capable of adjusting distance between housings
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first housing including a first display device and a first connection unit having a first protrusion formed thereon, a second housing including a second display device coupled to the first connection unit to be movable in a predetermined direction and a second connection unit having a second protrusion formed thereon, and a circular plate including a spiral recess, the circular plate being coupled to the first protrusion and the second protrusion. The circular plate is configured such that, by rotation of the circular plate, the first protrusion and the second protrusion move in a predetermined direction, and depending on the movement, a distance between the first housing and the second housing is adjustable.
AUTOMATED EYEWEAR DEVICE SHARING SYSTEM
Systems, devices, media, and methods are described for capturing a series of raw images by portable electronic devices, such as wearable devices including eyewear, and automating the process of processing such raw images by a client mobile device, such as a smart phone, such automation including the process of uploading to a network and directing to a target audience. In some implementations, a user selects profile settings on the client device before capturing images on the companion device, so that when the companion device has captured the images, the system follows the profile settings upon automatically processing the images captured by the companion device.
