System and Method for Securing Eyewear
A principal objective of the present invention is to provide system for temperately retaining eyeglasses on a user's headwear. This objective is achieved by incorporating magnetic elements on the headwear and eyewear of the user. In one embodiment of the present invention, two magnetic elements are attached to the inside surfaces of the two temple arms of a pair of eyeglasses. Another two magnetic elements are attached to the two sides of a hat permanently or removably. The polarities of the magnetic elements are arranged in such way that when the two temple arms of the eyeglasses are placed in contact to the two sides of the hat from the outside of the hat, the magnetic elements on the eyeglasses and the magnetic elements on the headwear form magnetic element coupling pairs with attraction magnetic force. When the eyeglasses are not in use and need to be temporarily stored away from the eyes, the user can lift them to the crown or above the brim of the hat. The corresponding magnetic element coupling pairs will attach the temple arms of the eyeglasses to the side of the hat.
Eye wear retainer
An eye wear retainer is disclosed which can be adjusted such that it can be raised or lowered without pre-set braking points. The braking mechanism is automatic or self-adjusting, and does not require a button or switch for use. The wearer using the eye wear retainer merely raises or lowers the eyeglasses or sunglasses to the desired height on his or her body, with the only limitation being the length of the wire connecting the eyeglasses to the eye wear retainer device.
Head-Mounted Display With Adjustment Mechanism
A head-mounted display configured to be worn by a user includes a housing and a headband configured to secure the housing to a head of the user. The headband includes a proximal end coupled to the housing and a distal end that is free from connection to the housing. The head-mounted display includes an adjustment mechanism configured to change a fit of the headband relative to the head of the user.
EYEGLASS RETAINER
The eyeglass retainer comprises a pair of elastic tubes, to each of those which each of the temples of eyeglasses is forcibly inserted, a pair of wire members each connected to the corresponding elastic tube, and a pair of piece members each fixed to the corresponding end of the wire member; wherein each of the wire members is slidably inserted through the corresponding piece member at the middle position of the wire member with intervention of given sliding frictional force, the tubes made of elastic synthetic resin, through those which the wire members are slidably inserted with intervention of given frictional force, are embedded inside the piece members, respectively, and the wire members and the tubes made of elastic synthetic resin are interactively configured such that the tensile force to be generated when pulling the pair of piece members adapted to slide against the wire members.
WEARABLE HEADS-UP DISPLAYS EMPLOYING A CORE WIRE COMMUNICATIVELY COUPLED TO A RADIO AS AN ANTENNA
Systems, devices and methods for eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable electronic devices, and particularly systems, devices, and methods that employ an antenna in eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable heads-up displays, the systems, devices and methods including a pair of eyeglasses having a first arm housing a radio and a core wire, wherein the core wire is communicatively coupled to the radio as an antenna by an electrically conductive path including a hinge in the first arm or an electrically conductive path that is electrically isolated from the hinge and a power source coupled to the first arm or a second arm and electrically coupled to the radio via a second electrically conductive path.
WEARABLE HEADS-UP DISPLAYS WITH ANTENNAS AND ANTENNAS FOR SAME
Systems, devices and methods for eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable electronic devices, and particularly systems, devices, and methods that employ an antenna in eyeglasses frames and eyeglasses frames assemblies for wearable heads-up displays, the systems, devices and methods including a pair of eyeglasses having a first arm housing a radio and an antenna, wherein the antenna has a principal axis and main lobe extending outward therefrom and a power source is coupled to the first arm or a second arm and electrically coupled to the radio via an electrically conductive path.
Quadruped Optical System
A quadruped optical system comprises a frame configured to be worn by the quadruped and intersects its line of sight, a pair of temples coupled to the frame, and a saddle coupled to the pair of temples via a harness.
EYEGLASS RETAINER
An eyeglass retainer comprising a first cinch and a second cinch, the first cinch and second cinch each comprising a base with a first wall emanating up from the base forming a closed compartment, the first wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, a second wall emanating from the outer surface of the first wall, the second wall forming an aperture lateral of the closed compartment, the second wall having an inner surface and an outer surface and a lace having a body, a first end, a second end, the first end passing through the aperture of the first cinch and engaging with the closed compartment of the first cinch, forming a first loop, the second end passing through the aperture of the second cinch and engaging with the closed compartment of the second cinch, forming a second loop.
EYEWEAR TETHER
Eyewear devices including a tether and methods for identifying proper installation of the tether are disclosed. An eyewear device includes transmission lines extending through the temples to electrical and electronic components positioned adjacent to edges of a frame. A tether is attached to the temples to enable power and communication flow between the electrical and electronic components rather than through the frame. Proper installation is identified based on communications passing between the electrical and electronic components via the tether.
