Method and system for determining fitting parameters of an optical equipment with manual identification
Disclosed is a method for determining at least one fitting parameter of an optical equipment configured to equip a user, the method including: providing an imaging device; taking a plurality of images of the user equipped with the optical equipment when the user takes successively at least two distinct positions; among the at least two distinct positions, identifying at least one period when the user is in a favorable position to determine the at least one fitting parameter, wherein the at least one period is manually identified by an operator; recording the at least one identified period and at least one image taken during the at least one identified period; determining the fitting parameter on the basis of the at least one recorded image.
Spectacle lens, method for designing spectacle lens, and method for manufacturing spectacle lens
A spectacle lens including a prism prescription that has an eyeball-side optical surface. When one side is the same side as a prism base direction (nose side) and the other side is an opposite side of the prism base direction with a direction orthogonal to the prism base direction passing through a prism measurement reference point as a boundary, a minimum value of a curvature of the eyeball-side optical surface is on the same side as the prism base direction (nose side). Since a mean curvature becomes smaller in the prism base direction than a mean curvature of the prism measurement reference point and becomes larger in the opposite direction than the mean curvature of the prism measurement reference point across the prism measurement reference point, deviation in line of sight between right and left eyes is resolved.
Eyeglass lens, method for designing eyeglass lens, and method for manufacturing eyeglass lens
In a spectacle lens added with prism thinning, a spherical refractive power of a first refractive portion is positive, and a prism base direction of a prism provided at a prism measurement reference point is set toward a second refractive portion side; a mean value of a difference of a mean curvature in a lens curved surface along a direction passing through a midpoint of a connecting line between two alignment reference marks and orthogonal to the connecting line with respect to a mean curvature in a lens curved surface along a direction of a lens without prism is smaller in a first-refractive-portion-side region from a fitting point than that in a second-refractive-portion-side region from the fitting point.
Modular eyeglass frame apparatus and system
Apparatus and systems related to modular eyeglass elements may be provided. A detachable temple may be detachably coupled to a lens assembly at a temple strut of the lens assembly via a locking mechanism. Locking mechanisms may include spring tab, spring lever, spring bar, snap-fit, spring latch, and other disclosed configurations.
Screw with Integrated Slot
The present invention relates to a novel screw that causes drag and prohibits unwinding of the screw. The screw is designed for use in eyeglasses for securing eyeglass lenses and prohibiting same from falling out. The screw includes a fillister head, a drive disposed on the head for engaging a screwdriver, a shaft running from the head to a terminal end, the shaft having non-contiguous circumferential threads along the length of the shaft for rotatably sliding the screw through slots. The screw includes a longitudinal channel in the form of a slot disposed along the surface of the shaft and through the length of the shaft. A planar bar of neoprene or any other polypropene can be inserted in the channel which assists with prohibiting unwinding of the screw when the screw is in use.
Folding frame for eyeglasses
A folding frame for eyeglasses, the frame being structured to fold into a W-shape and thereby, dispose a frame front left half in parallel with a frame front right half, both left and right halves being disposed between respective left and right temple pieces. A first catch holds the left and right halves in parallel at a stored configuration, and a second catch holds the temple pieces in parallel at the stored configuration. An enlarged grip area is sometimes provided in at least one temple piece to facilitate one-handed orienting of the fully-deployed frame in registration on a user's head. Certain embodiments are configured to permit a user to cause a one-handed release and subsequent automatic frame deployment from a stored configuration to a first configuration wherein the frame front left and right halves are disposed in a common plane, and the temple pieces are disposed normal to that plane.
EYEWEAR WITH DETECTION SYSTEM
Eyewear having monitoring capability, such as for radiation or motion, is disclosed. Radiation, such as ultraviolet (UV) radiation, infrared (IR) radiation or light, can be measured by a detector. The measured radiation can then be used in providing radiation-related information to a user of the eyewear. Motion can be measure by a detector, and the measured motion can be used to determine whether the eyewear is being worn.
Frame for a head mounted device
A frame for a head mounted device including: a front part; a first temple configured to be electronically connected to the front part via a first connection and including a battery providing electrical power arranged in a cavity in the first temple and connected electrically to the first connection; a second temple configured to be electrically connected to the front part and having a cavity therein configured to receive therein at least one electronic module; and a second connection configured to connect electrically the battery of the first temple to the at least one electronic module of the second temple via the front part to receive power therefrom.
BUTTON ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
A method of manufacturing a button-enabled housing assembly includes pre-forming a composite button component or insert having an elastically flexible button membrane that is mounted on a rigid frame, and thereafter molding a housing over the button insert. The composite button insert is formed in a co-molding operation and can include a rigid island in the flexible button membrane for supporting a cosmetic keycap.
Method for adjusting loupe and loupe
A method is provided for adjusting a loupe including an eyepiece and a tube framework having a first optical system adjacent to an object and a second optical system adjacent to the eyepiece. At least two zoom lenses in the first optical system shift along an optical axis between a first and a second position to change magnification. The method includes shifting at least one lens in the first optical system such that a distance at which the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the first position is substantially equal to a distance at which the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the second position; and then shifting at least one lens in the second optical system along the optical axis such that the object is focused when the zoom lenses are shifted to the first position or the second position.
