EYEWEAR DEVICE LENS RETENTION MECHANISM
An eyewear device has a lens retention mechanism that establishes electrical contact between onboard electronics and a lens ring by a resiliently compressible electrical contact member, such as a spring washer, located within a housing defined by a body of the eyewear device. The retention mechanism can further include a lock screw that is selectively engageable with the lens ring to allow disposal between retention and release of a lens by the lens ring, the lock ring being captured in the housing such as to resist removal of the lock screw from the housing when the lens ring is released for lens removal.
FLEXIBLE MASK WITH CORRECTIVE LENSES
A flexible mask includes a body portion and a head strap portion to hold the body portion over a user's eyes. The body portion includes lenses aligned with the user's eyes to aid the user's vision and includes cover elements that are movable to cover and uncover the lenses as desired.
THERAPEUTIC TRAINING DEVICE FOR AUTISM
A therapeutic training device configured to be worn on the face of a therapist and capable of displaying media content to a patient with ASD, wherein a level of the displayed media content may be adjusted to permit the patient to see the eyes of the therapist through the media content.
Foldable reading glasses
Folding reading glasses of the type in which the temples fold around the lenses, in which the temples are supported and removably attached to the lenses while folded, providing greater integral strength to the entire assembly and resisting breakage. Several methods for attachment of the temples to the lenses are disclosed, including an interference fitting member in the temple that grasps the lens frame in the vicinity of the lens, and multiple embodiments of an interference fitting member in the temple that grasps a mating member on the outer edge of the lens frame. Combinations of these embodiments are also possible.
Eyewear with cooling frame
Eyewear includes a pair of eyeglass frames and lenses. Portions of the frame have an interior void filled with a cooling medium. Regions of the frame intended for skin contact further comprise a thermally conductive material while regions of the frame opposite the thermally conductive material further comprise an insulative material.
Eyeglass frames with hooks for holding cigarettes and other objects
Hooks are affixed to the temples or upper rims of eyeglass frames in parallel fashion with openings facing upright in order to hold a cigarette or other lightweight object. Hooks may be threaded into holes in eyeglass frames, affixed with adhesive, crimped onto the frame, or the hooks may be similarly affixed to a pair of small clamps to be removably clamped onto the sunglass frame. This invention allows the eyeglass wearer to store a cigarette, pencil, or other lightweight object(s) on the eyeglasses while they are being worn.
MULTI-MOLDED EYEWEAR APPARATUS
An eyewear apparatus uses a multi-molded design in which a structural component of the eyewear apparatus (e.g., frame) is constructed from multiple molded layers fitted together to appear as a single structural component. For example, a base molded layer of the structural component may include a recessed channel into which an additional molded layer of the structural component may be fitted and affixed. The additional molded layer may be designed such that when the additional molded layer is affixed within the recessed channel of the base molded layer, the base molded layer and the additional molded layer of the structural component appear as a singularly molded physical component. To provide varying designs and/or colors, each molded layer (e.g., the base molded layer and the additional molded layer), may be constructed using a different material, color of material, and/or plating.
PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR
Protective eyewear may include an eyewear frame including a left segment extending from a left pivotable temple and a right segment extending from a right pivotable temple. A lens is coupled directly to lower edges of the left and right segments, and the lens is configured to cover both eyes of a user when worn. An uppermost profile of the eyewear includes a discrete central raised portion extending upward from the left and right segments of the frame.

WEARABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH ARTICULATED JOINT
Apparatuses, systems for electronic wearable devices such as smart glasses are described. The wearable device can comprise a frame, an elongate temple and an articulated joint. The frame can define one or more optical element holders configured to hold respective optical elements for viewing by a user in a viewing direction. The temple can be moveably connected to the frame for holding the frame in position when the device is worn by the user. The articulated joint can connect the temple and the frame to permit movement of the temple relative to the frame between a wearable position in which the temple is generally aligned with the viewing direction, and a collapsed position in which the temple extends generally transversely to the viewing direction. The articulated joint can include abase foot fixed to the frame and oriented transversely to the viewing direction.
