Disclosed is a method wherein the following steps are performed: a) the subject is placed in a natural posture, in which at least one of the gaze directions of the subject points to a visual target, b) an image capture apparatus is placed between the head of the subject and the visual target, c) the relative posture of the image capture apparatus and head of the subject is adjusted in order for the pupil of the image capture apparatus to be positioned close to the gaze direction of at least one of the eyes of the subject, d) an image of the head of the subject is captured, and e) the at least one geometrico-morphological parameter is deduced from this image.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE LOCAL REFRACTIVE POWER AND/OR REFRACTIVE POWER DISTRIBUTION OF A SPECTACLE LENS
20220035183 · 2022-02-03 ·

The local refractive power or the refractive power distribution of a spectacle lens is measured. A first image of a scene having a plurality of structure points and a left and/or a right spectacle lens of a frame front is captured with an image capturing device from a first capture position having an imaging beam path for structure points, which extends through the spectacle lens of the frame front. At least two further images of the scene are captured with the image capturing device from different capture positions, one of which can be identical with the first capture position, without the spectacle lenses of the spectacles or without the frame front containing the spectacle lenses having the structure points imaged in the first image, and the coordinates of the structure points in a coordinate system are calculated from the at least two further images of the scene by image analysis.

A head worn display can be designed with an integrated camera for obtaining an image of a scene, transmitting the obtained image to a processor, modification of the image in substantially real time by the processor, and displaying the modified image on a display device worn by the individual. According to embodiments of the invention various methods are provided for adjusting the position of the displayed video in the horizontal left/right, vertical up/down, and horizontal in/out, and angular up/down dimensions relative to the individual's eyes.

Method for providing a personalized spectacle lens optical system for a wearer

A method for providing a personalized optical system for a wearer wherein the optical system characterizes a spectacle ophthalmic lens comprising the following steps: a) providing a visual performance level (VPL) value of at least one eye of the wearer; b) providing a set of rules linking at least the visual performance level of step a) with at least one optical criterion chosen among one or both of the two following optical criteria groups consisting of central vision optical criterion (CVOC) group and peripheral vision optical criterion (PVOC) group; c) calculating the physical and geometrical parameters of the personalized optical system or selecting the personalized optical system in an optical systems data base comprising a plurality of optical systems, so that to meet the set of rules of step b) according to the visual performance level data provided in step a).

Eyeglass frame system where lenses can move from one frame to another
20170227786 · 2017-08-10 ·

The current invention is a detachable eyeglass frame system that will provide consumers a way to take their single pair of prescription lenses out of their manufacturers frames and place them into another set of the same manufacturer's frames but, of different color and/or style. The eyeglass frame system comprises an eyeglass frame including a front section removably secured to a horizontal bar. The horizontal bar is removably secured along the upper end of the front section by one or more fasteners, such as magnets. By lifting the Removable Horizontal Bar from Frame Rear, lenses easily slide out of their current frames and easily slide into their other frames.

Fast, Convenient and Efficient Alternate Method to the Use of Prep Pad Soaked With a Variety of Solutions.
20170225202 · 2017-08-10 · ·

When using a Prep Pad that contains a solution soaked with alcohol, adhesive or patch remover, or any other kind of antibacterial agent, the act of operating it while trivial for one time use can quickly become inefficient, mundane and time consuming. The invention packs multiple, but single use encapsulated Pellets inside a cylindrical refill apparatus. The Pellet is made of soft material and it may be soaked or un-soaked. The refill apparatus is then inserted into a cylindrical pen like structure that automatically peels the Pellet when operated. The result is that in a few pen like clicks, an operator, using a single hand, can quickly get ready to cleanse or apply a Pellet onto a surface. An operator can easily store capacity for multiple applications in a pen pocket. The single hand use, quickness to readiness and compact easy storage makes the invention ideal alternative to a Prep Pad like use.
