A cooking apparatus includes a cavity unit having therein a cooking chamber and a rear wall plate with an introduction hole section and a discharge hole section; a door on or over the cavity unit, configured to open and close an opening of the cavity unit; and a convection heater unit on or behind the rear wall plate, heating air from the cavity unit through the discharge hole section, and supplying hot air to the cooking chamber through the introduction hole section, wherein the introduction hole section is in a lower part of the rear wall plate, and the discharge hole section is in an upper part of the rear wall plate, separate from the introduction hole section.

SMOKER OVEN WITH IMPROVED AIR FLOW
A solid fuel smoker oven having a cooking chamber and a heat source chamber separated by a vertical divider. The heat source chamber includes a gas fired firebox to burn solid fuel. The cooking chamber comprises air channels defined by perforated wall panels comprising calibrated orifices that vary in size from the top of the channel to the bottom to allow air flow and temperatures inside the cooking chamber to be balanced. A fan in the cooking chamber draws heat and smoke emissions from the firebox and directs them into the air channels and recycles the heated air and smoke through the heat source chamber, which limits heat and smoke escape and maximizes temperature stability inside the oven. The fan also functions as a spark arrestor.

Apparatus and method for controlling a conveyor oven
A conveyor oven includes a controller configured to change the operation of a first set of burners and a second set of burners from a cooking mode to an energy saving mode based at least in part upon detection of the absence of food in the oven chamber. The first set of burners operating at a first intensity during the cooking mode and are off during the energy saving mode. The second set of burners operating at a first intensity during the cooking mode and being adjustable to a different intensity during the energy saving mode, where the second set of burners produce heat during the different intensity.
Baking plate for baking ovens

The baking plate has a carrier plate and one or more baking inserts disposed thereon, which are configured for receiving the batter to be baked. Adjustable grilling platform
An apparatus is adapted to be placed over an open flame source and employed as a grilling surface for cooking. The apparatus further has a flat grilling platform, a support frame, and a hoist assembly. The grilling platform is operatively suspended from the support frame by the hoist assembly such that the hoist assembly can raise and lower the grilling platform as desired. An embodiment of the apparatus provides for a fire box to facilitate construction and containment of a fire for use with the apparatus.

In an aspect, data characterizing an instruction for an activation of an igniter and an operating mode of a smoke generator that includes the igniter can be received. A first amount of energy required for an ignition of a fuel source by the igniter can be determined based on the operating mode characterized by the received data. The igniter can be caused to activate based on the received data. A second amount of energy, output by the igniter over a period of time during which the igniter is activated, can be determined. A determination of whether the second amount of energy exceeds the first amount of energy can be made. The igniter can be caused to deactivate in response to a determination that the second amount of energy exceeds the first amount of energy.
