A device for chilling and heating of fluids, particularly beverages and liquid foods, is provided. The heating or cooling device can include a container encasing an insulation system, a cover or lid for covering the container, and the insulation system. The insulation system can include a coil made of a temperature-conductive material and fashioned to connect to an inlet in the cover and to an outlet in the container. The cover can also include a fluid reservoir for accepting the liquid to be processed, and an open section providing a passageway for adding additional insulating material to the insulating system while the device is in use. Once the device is assembled, a liquid can be poured into the fluid reservoir, pass through the coil that carries the liquid through the insulating system, and exit the container as a chilled or heated liquid.

Container and method of forming a container

An insulating container can be configured to retain a volume of liquid, and include a first inner wall having a first end having an opening extending into an internal reservoir, and a second outer wall forming an outer shell. The second outer wall can include a second end configured to support the container on a surface. The second outer wall can include a dimple, and the dimple can include a circular base and an inner portion converging to an hole extending into the second outer wall. The hole can be sealed by a resin, and the circular base can be covered by disc formed of the material. Alternatively, a cap can cover the dimple, and a weld can connect the cap to the second outer wall. The container can also include a sealed vacuum cavity forming an insulated double-wall structure between the first inner wall and the second outer wall.

Reusable beverage container assembly

A beverage container assembly including a cup and a lid. The cup includes an outer wall and an inner wall. The cup may have a double truncated cone shape. The lid includes a spout for drinking a beverage held in the cup and a number of holes that allow aroma to escape from the cup. The cup includes an internal protrusion that aids in mixing the beverage.

Container with insulated cover

A container assembly is provided comprising a container body, a stopper member removably attachable to the container to seal a container aperture thereof, and a thermal insulation member removably attachable to an upper body portion of the container body. The thermal insulation member has a sidewall extending downwardly from an upper portion and defining a downwardly opening cavity within which the upper body portion and the stopper are positioned. The sidewall and the upper portion of the thermal insulation member each include an inner wall and an outer wall spaced apart from the inner wall. An insulation chamber is disposed between the inner and outer walls. The thermal insulation member includes an engagement portion adapted to engage with a corresponding engagement portion of the upper body portion to removably attach the thermal insulation member thereto.

Handle

A handle including a connector portion with a through-slot and a biasing member. The through-slot defines a travel path. The biasing member is adjacent the through-slot and extends along the travel path. The through-slot is configured to receive a distal portion of an anchor. The biasing member is configured to bias the distal portion in a travel direction along the travel path.

Drinkware container with active temperature control

An actively heated or cooled mug has a body with a chamber that can receive and hold a beverage and a heating or cooling system disposed at least partially in a cavity below the chamber. The heating or cooling system has a heating or cooling element to actively heat or cool the chamber, power storage devices, and circuitry that controls the operation of the heating or cooling elements. A user interface is electrically connected to the circuitry and has one or more selection members actuatable a) to turn off the one or more heating or cooling element or b) to adjust a temperature setting to one of multiple temperature settings configured to control the one or more heating or cooling elements to heat or maintain the liquid at a user selected temperature.

A beverage system of the present disclosure includes a container configured to retain a beverage, the container having an outer wall and an internal threaded section above a non-threaded inner wall section; a threaded gasket having a threaded portion and an outer curved profile, the threaded portion configured to engage the internal threaded section of the container when coupled thereto; and a lid having an extension portion extending from a cover portion, the extension portion having a seal positioned thereon, the seal configured to engage the non-threaded inner wall section of the container when coupled thereto.

Cooling elements and cooling assemblies comprising same

A cooling element for cooling a body, comprising a heat conduction layer coterminous with a proximal side of the cooling element, a heat retardant layer coterminous with a distal side of the cooling element, and a heat sink volume disposed between the heat conduction and heat retardant layers, extending from a proximal boundary with the heat conduction layer to a distal boundary with the heat retardant layer. The heat sink volume comprises a porous material including a first substance; and the heat conduction layer comprises a porous material including a second substance. The first and second substances have thermal properties such that the first substance will solidify at a first temperature, the second substance being in the liquid state at the first temperature. The heat retardant layer has a lower mean thermal conductivity than the heat conduction layer.
