Beverage cooling device for preparing cooled beverage when paired with a beverage preparation machine
Beverage cooling device (2) for rapidly cooling a beverage and serving the beverage when cooled, after having been dispensed from a beverage preparation machine (100) in the device, comprising a heat exchange container (3) comprising a closed chamber (4) containing a phase-change coolant capable of accumulating and restoring cooling energy and a beverage cavity (5) with an open upper end (6) for receiving the beverage; the closed chamber (4) and cavity (5) being separated by at least one heat conductive inner wall (8). The device is arranged to be handled separately from the beverage preparation machine and comprises a control unit (13) comprising a communication module (14) arranged for communicating to the beverage preparation machine information representative of the presence of the device at proximity of the beverage preparation machine and/or of a cooling state of the coolant in the chamber. The invention also relates to a system comprising a beverage preparation device and the cooling device.
Actively heated or cooled drinkware container
A container has a chamber and a phase change material (PCM) that can remove heat from the chamber. The container can have a thermal conductor movably coupled in the container between a retracted position and a deployed position, where in the deployed position, while on a heat sink unit, the thermal conductor can draw heat from the PCM to solidify or charge the PCM, which can then maintain the chamber in a chilled state for a prolonged period of time. The container can have one or more heating elements in thermal communication with the chamber and operable to add heat to the chamber to increase or maintain a temperature of the chamber in a heated state for a prolonged period of time.
Container and method of forming a container
An insulating container can be configured to retain a volume of liquid, and include a canister having a first inner wall having a first end having an opening extending into an internal reservoir, and a second outer wall forming an outer shell. The opening can be sealed by a spout adapter, the spout adapter having a spout channel extending between the internal reservoir and a spout opening, smaller than the opening of the canister. The spout opening may be sealed with a cap having a magnetic top surface, and the spout adapter may be further removably coupled to a lid that may be used as a cup into which a volume of the liquid can be poured.
Cover, and beverage container comprising same
A lid body that is attachable to a beverage container main body is provided. The lid body includes a lid main body, a first seal portion, a second seal portion, and a plug. The lid main body is detachably fixed to a beverage container main body. The lid main body includes an inner surface and a circumferential edge portion that defines a spout for pouring a beverage. The first seal portion is formed integrally with the inner surface. The second seal portion is formed integrally with the first seal portion and formed using the same material as a material of the first seal portion, and is formed integrally with the circumferential edge portion. The plug is movable between a closing position for sealing the spout and an opening position for bringing the inside and the outside of the beverage container main body into communication with each other via the spout.
Container with heating/cooling assembly and removable power source modules
The embodiments disclose an attachable battery base module configured for powering at least one attachable application module coupled to the attachable battery base module, wherein the attachable battery base is configured for powering the at least one attachable application module, a heating module attachment with a temperature control module coupled to the attachable battery base module configured for heating and/or boiling a liquid, a cooling module attachment with the temperature control module coupled to the attachable battery base module configured for cooling a liquid and wherein the temperature control module includes a temperature maintenance mode, wherein the temperature maintenance mode is configured for maintaining a preset, predefined or user preselected desired temperature when the desired temperature is reached.
INSULATED BEVERAGE BOTTLE
An apparatus and methods are provided for an insulated beverage bottle to maintain the temperature of liquid contents and exhibit reduced sound upon being dropped onto a hard surface such as a tennis court. The insulated bottle includes a bottom cushion and a top cushion that are coupled to an outer cylinder. The outer cylinder and the top and bottom cushions exhibit impact resistance and noise suppression properties. A double-walled container is disposed inside the outer cylinder. An insulative material is disposed between the doubled-walled container and the outer cylinder. The insulative comprises fumed silica vacuum insulation that surrounds a majority of the exterior of the double-walled cylinder. A top lid is threadably joined with the insulated bottle such that liquid contents may be stored in an interior of the bottle. A straw holder provides access to a straw and prevents liquid contents from leaking out of the bottle.
Ventilated lid for insulated container
A lid for an insulated container comprises a flexible gasket configured to facilitate a seal between the lid and an inner wall of the insulated container, and further configured to expand into an interior compartment of the insulated container responsive to a vacuum developing in the interior compartment. A diaphragm chamber is situated opposite the flexible gasket from the interior compartment when the lid is fully engaged with the insulated container. One or more air channels couple the diaphragm chamber to an exterior of the lid. The development of a vacuum in the interior compartment of the insulated container draws a force on the flexible gasket, thereby reducing pressure in the diaphragm chamber. The negative pressure in diaphragm chamber is back-filled with external air, which enters the lid via the air channels. The lid may then be removed without excessive vacuum forces.
Container and method of forming a container
An insulating container can be configured to retain a volume of liquid, and include a canister having a first inner wall having a first end having an opening extending into an internal reservoir, and a second outer wall forming an outer shell. The opening can be sealed by a spout adapter, the spout adapter having an internal passageway extending between the internal reservoir and a spout opening, which may be smaller than the opening of the canister. The spout opening may be sealed with an upper cap that has a magnetic top surface. The upper cap may be selectively coupled to seal the spout opening, or may be magnetically coupled to a magnetic docking surface of a docking structure on the spout adapter.
DRINKWARE AND PLATEWARE AND ACTIVE TEMPERATURE CONTROL MODULE FOR SAME
Drinkware with active temperature control can be a mug made of metal, and optionally coated with a ceramic material. At least one heating element that can thermally communicate with a surface of the drinkware to thereby effect heat transfer through the base in the drinkware. At least one sensor is configured to sense a parameter of the liquid in the drinkware, and at least one power storage element is configured to provide power to the at least one heating element. Control circuitry is configured to control operation of the one or more heating elements, and a transceiver is configured to transmit operating information to a remote electronic device and to receive operating instructions from the remote electronic device.
Adjustable additive cartridge systems
An adjustable additive cartridge that provides adjustable metering of additive to a base fluid as the base fluid is flowing through the cartridge. A spout is mounted for limited rotation within a base element of the cartridge. Rotation of the spout results in varying degrees of flow of additive into a base fluid flow path through the cartridge. The cartridge may be used with a portable beverage container, such as a sports bottle or off-the-shelf water bottle. The supply of base fluid in a container used with the cartridge may be kept in an unmixed, pure state, and other cartridges, each having different additives (i.e., flavors) may be used interchangeably with the same base fluid supply. The cartridge allows a consumer/user to experience different additives, such as different flavors or supplement compositions, for a given supply of base liquid in a single container. A check valve on the cartridge prevents backflow of the base fluid. An integrated filter for filtering base fluid flowing into the cartridge may be provided. The additive cartridge may be sealed to provide for extended storage and to provide a user/consumer with evidence of integrity, quality and/or tampering prior to purchase and/or use. Visual and tactile indicators of the amount of additive being added to a base fluid may be provided. A container may retain a spare additive adjustable cartridge on the container.
