Coffee grinder includes two grinding discs that can be rotated in opposite directions, the axial distance between which defines the degree of grinding of the coffee powder produced. The grinding discs are mounted one over the other within a grinder body, the lower grinding disc being rotatable about a vertical axis of rotation while the upper grinding disc can be adjusted non-rotatably and by an eccentric shaft relative to the lower grinding disc in the direction of the vertical axis of rotation. By rotating the eccentric shaft with a motorized drive, the space between the grinding discs can be changed. This enables almost infinite regulation of the degree of grinding when preparing the coffee.

A geometrical outline taken through the cusps of the second curved teeth at the top end face of the frustoconical burr opposite the base is a square or rectangle. This grinding unit produces a ground product, such as ground coffee beans, with fewer turns than known grinding units and with less effort. The properties and qualities of the resulting ground products are superior to those obtained with conventional grinding units because flavor and aroma are retained.

The grinding unit acts on a horizontal rotation axis, with large-sized flat vertical grinders and an external actuating lever which is located on a side, with respect to the central body, so as to facilitate the introduction of the beans and improve stability during the grinding phase. The lever can be integrated in a retracted way with a snap overturning mechanism. The constructive configuration of the grinder machine optimizes the quality of grinding and the manual actuation, and it also improves the preservation of coffee and offers high efficiency and ease of use.

The grinding head (22) is fitted into the grinding sleeve (25), and the grinding head (22) and the grinding sleeve (25) define therebetween a material compartment (40) for accommodating a material. The driving assembly drives, via the connecting structure, the material container body (20) to rotate. The material container body (20) drives the grinding head (22) to rotate. The grinding head (22) moves relative to the grinding sleeve (25), such that the material between the grinding head (22) and the grinding sleeve (25) is ground into powder. The automated grinder is provided with different grinding sleeves and grinding heads for grinding a variety of materials, and prevents the introduction of impurities during feeding, thereby preserving the original flavor of the material.
