ELECTRO-PHOTOGRAPHIC 3-D PRINTING USING DISSOLVABLE PAPER
In 3-D printing a platen moves toward an intermediate transfer belt (ITB) to have a sheet positioned on the platen contact the ITB to electrostatically transfer a layer of different materials to the sheet, and then the platen moves to a heater to join the layer to the sheet. This processing is repeated to have the sheet repeatedly contact the ITB (with intervening heating at the heater) to successively form layers of the materials on the sheet. The sheet having the layers thereon moves to a rinsing station, where a liquid is applied to dissolve the sheet and leave a freestanding stack of the layers. The freestanding stack is fed to a platform to successively form a 3-D structure of freestanding stacks of the layers. Light and/or heat are applied to the 3-D structure to bond the freestanding stacks to one another on the platform.

PHOTORECEPTOR DRUM HAVING A FLANGE
To reduce the influence of a coupling pin that fixes a shaft to a photoreceptor drum on rotation of a photoreceptor drum. To provide photoreceptor device including: a photoreceptor drum having an insertion hole formed along a lengthwise direction; and a flange that is provided at a lengthwise end portion of the photoreceptor drum and has a through hole formed thereon at a position to overlap the insertion hole, wherein the flange has a first protruding portion and a second protruding portion that: are provided on an end surface at which the through hole is provided and around the through hole; and protrude from the end surface, the first protruding portion has a first opening at a position facing the through hole, and the second protruding portion is provided at a position opposite to the first opening across a center of the through hole on the end surface.
DRIVE TRANSMISSION MECHANISM, SHEET DISCHARGING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A drive transmission mechanism which transmits a rotational driving force to a roller to be shifted in directions of a rotational axis thereof is equipped with a rotary drive transmission member which is driven to rotate in a predetermined rotational direction, a holder which holds the roller in such a manner that the roller can slide freely in the rotational axis directions while rotating about the rotational axis, and a one-way clutch interposed between the rotary drive transmission member and the holder. The one-way clutch is configured to transmit a rotational driving force from the rotary drive transmission member to the holder, and also to permit the holder to rotate in the predetermined rotational direction relative to the rotary drive transmission member.
RELAY CONNECTOR FITTING STRUCTURE, ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An relay connector fitting structure has a connector, a relay connector, and a chassis. The relay connector is removably fitted with the connector. The chassis has a fitting surface. The chassis has, formed integrally with it, a first stopper restricting movement of the relay connector in a first direction, a second stopper restricting movement of the relay connector in a second direction, and an opposite surface stopper restricting movement of the relay connector to the side opposite from the fitting surface.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND MEASUREMENT APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance guide, a measurement unit, an opposing member, and a holding member. The conveyance guide has an opening and forms a conveyance path through which a sheet with an image formed on the sheet is conveyed. The measurement unit measures, through the opening, a color of the image on the sheet being conveyed through the conveyance path. The opposing member opposes the measurement unit at a measurement position of the measurement unit. The holding member holds the opposing member so that the opposing member is movable between a first position where the opposing member presses the sheet against the opening and a second position where the opposing member is separated from the opening as compared with the first position. The holding member includes an abutment portion that abuts against the conveyance guide in a state where the opposing member is at the first position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, an opening and closing cover, a fixed cover that constitutes a part of an exterior of the apparatus body with the opening and closing cover, and is configured to form a boundary portion with an upper edge of the opening and closing cover in a vertical direction, a positioning portion including a first engagement portion provided in the opening and closing cover, and a second engagement portion provided in the fixed cover, a first conveyance guide provided on the opening and closing cover, and a second conveyance guide provided on the fixed cover. The first engagement portion and the second engagement portion are configured to engage with each other to perform positioning of the opening and closing cover and the fixed cover in the vertical direction and positioning of the first conveyance guide and the second conveyance guide.
IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
An image formation apparatus includes: an image carrier; a developing device which develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier as a toner image; a transfer device which transfers the toner image to a medium; a cleaning device which recovers toner remaining on the image carrier after the toner image is transferred; and a lubricant application adjustment mechanism which applies a lubricant on the image carrier and recovers toner present on the image carrier upstream of the cleaning device; and a controller which controls the lubricant application adjustment mechanism. The controller causes the lubricant application adjustment mechanism to recover more toner when the toner image formed on the image carrier has a larger image area ratio.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
This image forming device includes an image former, a fuser, a sheet transport path that transports a paper sheet to the image former and the fuser, first and second discharge ports that are connected to the sheet transport path so as to enable a paper sheet on which a toner image has been fused to be discharged to the outside, and a controller. The sheet transport path includes first to third transport paths, and a first and second switcher. The controller, in the case of duplex printing, controls the first and second switchers such that a one end side of the paper sheet is transported to the second discharge port, and controls the second switcher such that, when the one end side is being discharged from the second discharge port, reverses the paper sheet and causes the another end side to be transported toward the image former.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a sheet cassette, a sheet conveying portion, an image forming portion, a position detecting portion, and an image position correcting portion. The sheet conveying portion conveys a sheet from the sheet cassette attached to the apparatus main body, along a sheet conveyance path whose width direction matches the main direction. The position detecting portion detects a position of a detection-target portion that is a part of the sheet cassette, in the main direction based on the apparatus main body. The image position correcting portion corrects an image formation position in the main direction at which the image is formed by the image forming portion, based on the position detected by the position detecting portion.
