Image forming apparatus, decoloration device and decoloration method
According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a reading unit, a heating unit, and an updating unit. The reading unit reads area designation information for designating an area to be decolored in areas of a sheet on which an image that can be decolored by heating is formed and history information for indicating the number of times of performing decoloration in the past for each area of the sheet from a wireless tag attached to the sheet. The heating unit heats the area based on the area designation information read by the reading unit. The updating unit updates the history information stored in the wireless tag which corresponds to the area heated by the heating unit.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a connection mechanism in electrical contact with a contact. The connection mechanism includes a terminal member, a power supplying member, an insulating member, and a holding member. The terminal member makes contact with the contact. The power supplying member feeds electric power to the contact via the terminal member and urges the terminal member toward the contact. The insulating member covers the terminal member. The holding member holds the terminal member covered with the insulating member. The terminal member, at a tip end portion of it that projects from the holding member, makes contact with the contact. The insulating member covers at least an entire region, except a contact portion with the contact, of the terminal member that projects from the holding member.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge includes a frame, a photosensitive drum supported by the frame, a developing roller supported by the frame, and a coupling operatively connected to the photosensitive drum. A helical gear is positioned at the side of the process cartridge, the helical gear being rotatable about an axis thereof. A stopper is positioned at the side of the process cartridge, with the stopper having a surface extending in an axial direction of the photosensitive drum and facing the axis of the photosensitive drum. As measured in an axial direction of the photosensitive drum, at least a part of exposed teeth of the helical gear is positioned farther an end of the photosensitive drum than a tip of the projection of the coupling is positioned from the end of the photosensitive drum.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus has a normal image formation mode and a wide color gamut image formation mode in which an amount of a developer per unit area of a developer image of at least a color that differs from a prescribed color among a plurality of colors is increased as compared to the normal image formation mode. Image data is generated such that an image portion formed in the prescribed color in an image formed on a recording material is formed solely by a developer image of the prescribed color in the normal image formation mode, but formed by superimposing a developer image of a color that differs from the prescribed color on a developer image of the prescribed color or formed solely by a developer image of a different color in place of a developer image of the prescribed color in the wide color gamut image formation mode.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus at least includes: an image bearing member; a developer container; a developer carrying member; and a controller that controls a power source that applies a voltage to the developer carrying member, wherein the developer carrying member has at least a base and a surface layer, the surface layer has an electron donating portion that mainly donates charge to the developer when the developer and the surface layer makes frictional contact to exchange charge and an electron accepting portion that mainly accepts charge from the developer, and the controller applies an AC voltage to the developer carrying member during a period in which an image forming operation is not performed and the developer carrying member is driven, the AC voltage being different from that applied during an image forming period.
SHEET TRANSPORT DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet transport device includes: a chain that circulates and moves; a driving unit that circulates and moves the chain; a holding unit that is provided on the chain and holds an end portion of a sheet along a transport direction of the sheet; and a first positioning portion that positions the holding unit on both sides along a direction intersecting both the transport direction of the sheet and a width direction of the sheet while the chain moves along the driving unit.
Imaging System with Measurement of Bending
An imaging system includes a conveyor device to convey a sheet material along a conveyance path, a deformation tolerance portion located along the conveyance path, and a measurement device located in the deformation tolerance portion. The deformation tolerance portion includes a space to accommodate a bending of the conveyed sheet material. The measurement device measures a bending amount of the sheet material.
POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVELY CHANGING POWER AMPLIFICATION METHOD BASED ON POWER MODE OF IMAGE FOMING DEVICE
A power supply apparatus to supply power to an image forming device, the power supply apparatus includes an amplifier to amplify an input AC power by a general amplification or a double amplification, a converter to receipt the input AC power amplified by the general amplification or the double amplification and output a DC power with a determined size. A controller control applying the general amplification or the double amplification to the converter, in response to an operating mode of the image forming device.
RESTRICTING REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS
A computer-implemented method is disclosed. The method includes receiving a first indication that a first replaceable component of a print apparatus has been replaced; receiving, prior to any print impressions being made using the print apparatus since receiving the first indication, a second indication of an intention to replace a second replaceable component of the print apparatus; retrieving data regarding previous replacements of replaceable components of the print apparatus; determining, based on the retrieved data, whether or not replacement of the second replaceable component is to be restricted; and responsive to determining that replacement of the second replaceable component is to be restricted, restricting replacement of the second replaceable component. An apparatus and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.
OLDHAM COUPLING AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is an Oldham coupling having a play in a rotational direction and being capable of transmitting a driving force.
An Oldham coupling 1 includes a developing drive gear 99 that is a first hub, a drive coupling 89 that is a second hub, and an intermediate member 3 that transmits a driving force between the developing drive gear 99 and the drive coupling 89. The developing drive gear 99 includes a protruded portion 99a that is fitted to a recessed portion 3a of the intermediate member 3 to transmit a driving force between the developing drive gear 99 and the intermediate member 3. When seen in a rotational axis direction of the Oldham coupling 1, the shape of a protruded portion 89a is a substantially rhombic shape.
