Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus is operable in a first mode in which a photosensitive drum is rotated at a first rotational speed and a second mode in which the photosensitive drum is rotated at a second rotational speed slower than the first rotational speed. In this image forming apparatus, the light-emitting portions are controlled such that the number of light-emitting rows for multiply exposing regions, each of which corresponds to one pixel on the photosensitive drum in the first mode, is greater than that in the second mode.
Image forming apparatus capable of calculating surface potential of image carrier based on development current
An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier, a charging device, a developing device, a transfer device, a development power supply, a current measurement device, and a processor. The development power supply applies a predetermined bias voltage to the developing device. The processor functions as a calculator and a controller. The calculator calculates a surface potential of the image carrier based on the development current measured by the current measurement device. The controller controls the charging device, the developing device, the transfer device, and the development power supply. The controller sets a tentative transfer current to be flowed through the transfer device while the calculator calculates the surface potential.
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and an at-least-one-layer photosensitive layer including a specific photosensitive layer. The specific photosensitive layer contains a charge generating material, a binder resin, an electron transport material, and a hole transport material. The binder resin includes a polyarylate resin. The polyarylate resin includes repeating units (1), (2), (3), and (4).

A percentage of the number of repeats of the repeating unit (3) relative to a total number of repeats of the repeating units (1) and (3) is greater than 0% and less than 50%. A percentage of the number of repeats of the repeating unit (4) relative to a total number of repeats of the repeating units (2) and (4) is at least 35% and less than 70%. The electron transport material includes a compound represented by formula (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), or (17):

PRESSURE SENSITIVE TONER, APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING PRINTED MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING PRINTED MATERIAL, AND PRINTED MATERIAL
A pressure sensitive toner includes toner particles containing a composite resin that includes a styrene-based resin and a (meth)acrylate-based resin. The difference between a lowest glass transition temperature of the composite resin and a highest glass transition temperature thereof is 30° C. or more, and the toner particles have a gel fraction of from 1.0% by mass to 8.0% by mass inclusive.
PRINT SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive multiple print instructions; and generate a new print instruction including the multiple received print instructions, the new print instruction being an instruction in which at least one predetermined page is added to the top or end of a second print instruction, the second print instruction having a page count less than the page count of a first print instruction, the page count of the first print instruction being the highest among the multiple print instructions, the at least one added, predetermined page having a page count equal to the difference between the page count of the first print instruction and the page count of the second print instruction.
GEAR, DRIVING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A gear includes a gear body to be attached to a distal end of a driving shaft in an axial direction of the driving shaft and including teeth each extending obliquely with respect to the axial direction, and a stopping portion included in the gear body and configured in such a manner as to allow the driving shaft to which the gear body is attached to move in a circumferential direction. When the driving shaft moves in the circumferential direction, the stopping portion is enabled to stop the gear body from moving in the axial direction, the stopping portion stopping the gear body by coming into contact with a portion of the driving shaft.
SHEET STOPPER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A turnable sheet stopper blocks and passes a sheet conveyed on a sheet guide, and includes a proximal portion, a distal portion connected to the end of the proximal portion, and a folding mechanism that connects the distal portion to the proximal portion. The sheet stopper transitions between first and second positions. In the second position, the proximal and distal portions integrally turn to the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction to allow the sheet to pass. The sheet stopper transitions from the second position to a third position when a user draws out the sheet from an upstream side. In the third position, the distal portion folds toward the upstream side to allow the sheet to be drawn out. During transition from the second position to the third position, the edge of the distal portion is located on or away from an outer surface of the sheet guide.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a light scanning device, a developing portion, a control portion and a storage portion. An evaluation chart includes a first evaluation pattern and a second evaluation pattern. The first evaluation pattern includes a first patch row. The first patch row is formed by arranging a plurality of first evaluation patches. The first evaluation patch includes a first dot row and a second dot row. The second evaluation pattern includes a second patch row. The second patch row is formed by arranging a plurality of second evaluation patches.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS THAT PREDICTS REMAINING SERVICE LIFE OF LIMITED-LIFE COMPONENT, ON BASIS OF FREQUENCY ANALYSIS OF SOUND DATA
An electronic apparatus includes a drive unit having a drive roller, a driving motor, and a limited-life component, a sound collecting device that collects sound from the limited-life component, and outputs sound data, a storage device storing in advance a sound pressure level corresponding to a specific frequency of the limited-life component, with respect to each of different lengths of the remaining service life, and a controller that analyzes frequency of the sound data at predetermined time points; acquires the sound pressure level corresponding to the specific frequency of the limited-life component, on a basis of a result of the frequency analysis; compares the acquired sound pressure level with the sound pressure level of each of the lengths of the remaining service life; predicts the remaining service life of the limited-life component, on a basis of comparison result; and displays the predicted remaining service life on a display device.
FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
