PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR EJECTING RECORDING MEDIUM TO SPECIFIED EJECTION DESTINATION
A processing system includes a processing apparatus, a feeding apparatus, an ejection apparatus, and circuitry. The processing apparatus includes a processing device to execute a process on each of objects including a first object and a second object. The feeding apparatus feeds the objects to the processing apparatus. The ejection apparatus ejects the objects sent from the processing apparatus. The ejection apparatus includes an ejection purge portion to receive the second object traveling in the ejection apparatus. The circuitry sets whether to permit ejection of the second object not jammed to the ejection purge portion in case of a jam of the first object in the processing system. The circuitry causes the second object to be ejected to the set ejection purge portion, in response to detection of the jam of the first object.
SELECTIVE GLOSS TREATMENT OF PRINT MEDIA
An image forming apparatus including a print engine, a gloss treatment device, a medium conveying device, and a processor. The print engine is to form an image on a print medium. The gloss treatment device is to perform a gloss treatment on the print medium on which an image is formed. The medium conveying device to provide the print medium to the print engine and selectively provide the print medium on which an image is formed to the gloss treatment device. The processor is to control the print engine to form an image based on print data and control the medium conveying device to selectively provide the print medium to the gloss treatment device depending on whether a gloss treatment option is set in the print data.
Fixing device
A fixing device includes first and second rotatable members, a moving mechanism, a flag, a sensor, a movable guide, and a stationary guide. The moving mechanism is configured to move the first rotatable member away from the second rotatable member. The flag is provided downstream of the nip with respect to a recording material feeding direction and retractable by passing of the recording material. The sensor is configured to detect whether or not the flag is retracted by contact with the recording material. The movable guide is movable together with the first rotatable member away from the second rotatable member and from the flag by the moving mechanism. The stationary guide is fixed at a position opposing the flag, irrespective of a position of the movable guide member. The stationary guide does not move together with the movable guide.
PAPER FEEDING ROLL
Provided is a paper feeding roll that prevents paper transportation failures over a long time. A paper feeding roll 10 is provided with an axial body 12 and an elastic layer 14 formed on an outer periphery of the axial body 12. The circumferential surface of the elastic layer 14 has a plurality of projections 16 forming surface unevenness. Each projection 16 of the plurality of projections 16 is shaped such that a position X of a distal-end part preceding in an opposite direction to a paper feeding direction precedes, in the opposite direction to the paper feeding direction, a position Y of a base-end part preceding in the opposite direction to the paper feeding direction.

A sheet conveying device includes a sheet stacker, an air blower, a guide, and a holder. The sheet stacker stacks sheets. The air blower blows air to the sheets on the sheet stacker. The guide is disposed facing an uppermost sheet of the sheets on the sheet stacker. The holder holds the guide and has a groove along which the guide is inserted. The groove has a plurality of direction switching portions at each of which the guide changes a direction of movement when the groove receives the guide.

An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: a body; a developing cartridge having a memory medium and a developer bearing member; a tray including a frame which is movable between a housed position and a drawn-out position and has side portions extending in the moving direction and to which the developing cartridge is attachable, an image bearing member that faces the developer bearing member when the developing cartridge is attached, a tray-side metal terminal provided on the side portion and electrically connected to the memory medium when the cartridge is attached, and a tray guide portion extending along the moving direction; a body-side metal terminal that faces the tray-side metal terminal when the tray is housed, wherein the tray-side metal terminal is provided below the tray guide portion.

According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes an apparatus main body, a first rotating body, a second rotating body, and a connection member. The first rotating body is configured to be openable and closeable and provided in the apparatus main body. The second rotating body is provided in the first rotating body. The second rotating body is configured to be openable and closable from the first rotating body in the same direction as that of the first rotating body. The connection member is linear. The connection member is configured to connect the apparatus main body and the second rotating body to each other and to restrict a rotation angle of the second rotating body.

A heating device includes a heater, an AC-voltage input section between which an AC voltage is applied, a fuse, a switcher, an AC-voltage-abnormality detector configured to detect an abnormality of the AC voltage, a controller. The controller is configured to execute a current-flowing operation in a state in which connection of a first connection terminal to a second connection terminal is a non-connecting state. The current-flowing operation is an operation in which an electrical current flows through the heater. The controller is configured to execute a connecting process in response to detection of the abnormality of the AC voltage by the AC-voltage-abnormality detector detected in the middle of the current-flowing operation. The connecting process is a process of switching a connection of a first connecting point to a second connecting point from a non-connecting state to a connecting state.

A control unit controls power to be supplied to a common power supply path in a first period, using a selected first temperature detection member, and controls power to be supplied to the common power supply path in a second period, using a selected second temperature detection member. The first temperature detection member has a higher detected temperature than that of the second temperature detection member, and in the second period, the first detected temperature and the second detected temperature fall within a temperature range between a first temperature and a second temperature lower than the first temperature.
