System, server, and image processing apparatus
An apparatus controller performs: updating a number of mounting stored in an apparatus memory when a new consumable is mounted on an image processing apparatus; updating a life stored in the apparatus memory in response to execution of image processing; and transmitting, at a particular timing, the number of mounting and the life to a server. A server controller performs: in response to receiving the number of mounting and the life, not placing an order for the new consumable when the number of mounting is larger than a number of orders or the life is longer than or equal to a particular value, and placing the order for the new consumable when the number of mounting is smaller than or equal to the number of orders and the life is shorter than the particular value; and when the order is placed, updating the number of orders in a server memory.

The conveyance state determination part determines, when the plain paper mode is set, whether the conveyance state of the recording medium is a skew conveyance state or a tab paper conveyance state, based on the detection result of the sensor and the plain paper mode threshold information. The conveyance state determination part determines, when the tab paper mode is set, whether the conveyance state of the recording medium is the skew conveyance state or the tab paper conveyance state, based on the detection result of the sensor and the tab paper mode threshold information.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH CONTROLLER ADJUSTING POWER SUPPLIED TO HEATING ELEMENT BASED ON PRIOR USE METRIC
In one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a fixing device with a heating element to heat a sheet. A controller is configured to control electric power supplied to the heating element based on a prior use metric. The controller reduces the electric power supplied to the heating element during a startup period if an electric power level supplied from a power supply is equal to or greater than a threshold value and the prior use metric is equal to or greater than a reference value.

ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR PROVIDING FOIL IMAGES
Foil images are formed simultaneously with color toner images on a receiver material. One or more color toner latent images are formed on the receiver material using dry color toners. Each dry color toner has a (a) polymeric resin, a (b) pigment colorant, and a (c) wax that has a melting temperature defined as T.sub.color.
