ROTATING MEMBER CONTROL DEVICE, CONVEYING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A rotating member control device that controls a first rotating member and a second rotating member to convey a sheet includes a processor configured to execute a program to implement processes of controlling the first rotating member and the second rotating member to come into contact or be separated from each other and acquiring a value that corresponds to or is proportional to a driving torque of a first driving unit that rotationally drives the first rotating member. The processor acquires the value upon separation when the first rotating member and the second rotating member are separated from each other and upon conveyance when the sheet is held between and conveyed by the first rotating member and the second rotating member. The processor further sets a rotational speed of the second rotating member such that the value acquired upon separation and the value acquired upon conveyance become equal.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, a casing, an image reading portion, a first controller substrate provided on one of side surfaces of the casing, a second controller substrate provided on the side surface, wherein a component mounting surface of the second controller substrate is in a non-overlapping position with a component mounting surface of the first controller substrate, an electric wire configured to connect the first controller portion and the image reading portion, and a shielding member fixed to the casing so as to be provided between the electric wire and the second controller substrate and configured to shield electromagnetic radiation from the second controller substrate toward the electric wire.
PHOTOSENSITIVE DRUM UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A photosensitive drum unit includes a photosensitive drum, a drum shaft, a resin frame, and a conducting member. The drum shaft is inserted through the photosensitive drum. The resin frame supports opposite ends of the drum shaft. The conducting member is a substantially coil-shaped spring member having a first end adjacent to the resin frame and a second end opposite to the first end. The conducting member is tapered from the first end toward the second end. The first end forms a first opening and the second end forms a second opening. A circle inscribed in the second opening has a diameter larger than an outer diameter of the drum shaft.
FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A fixing device includes: a fixing belt with no ends configured to stretch rotatably; a heating unit configured to heat the fixing belt; a fixing member disposed outside the fixing belt and configured to be in contact with the fixing belt by pressurizing; a pressing member disposed inside the fixing belt and configured to press the fixing member with the fixing belt involved; and a lubricant supply unit configured to supply a lubricant to the inner periphery of the fixing belt so as to supply the lubricant between the pressing member and the fixing belt, wherein the lubricant supply unit is disposed inside the fixing belt, configured to hold the lubricant, and includes a holding unit provided with a lubricant ejection port having a longitudinal shape and extending along a width direction of the fixing belt.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an ID sensor arranged to face an intermediate transfer belt, and a board provided with the ID sensor. The ID sensor is integrally formed with the board and while emitting light toward the intermediate transfer belt, the ID sensor includes a sensor body that individually receives light regularly reflected and light diffused and reflected by the intermediate transfer belt, a lens that is arranged between the sensor body and the intermediate transfer belt to control emitted light from the sensor body and incident light to the sensor body, and a holding member that holds the lens. The holding member is directly welded and fixed to the board.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of reducing a downtime for switching between a monochrome image forming mode and a color image forming mode. In the image forming apparatus, images formed by a plurality of image forming stations are transferred in superimposition onto a transfer member. Further, the image forming apparatus controls image formation in each of a first mode of performing image formation using only an image forming station located at the most downstream position in a moving direction of the transfer member among the plurality of image forming stations, and a second mode of performing image formation using the plurality of image forming stations.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing drum; a drum charging member at a charging position opposed to the drum, with a charging bias; a developing member for developing an electrostatic image formed on the drum with toner, with a developing bias; a transfer member for transferring a toner image from the drum onto a sheet, with a transfer bias; a transfer bias source for outputting transfer bias; and a controller for effecting control to start raising of the transfer bias so as to correspond to timing at which an area of the drum passing at a timing of starting of raising of the charging bias passes the transfer position and to complete the raising of the transfer bias so as to correspond to timing at which an area of the drum passing at a timing of completion of raising of the charging bias passes the transfer position.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
In an image processing apparatus, a power switcher starts supplying power in a second mode in which the power is supplied to a controller but not supplied to an image processor, when a state in which the power switcher receives no power is changed to a state in which the power switcher receives power. When a state in which no power is supplied to the controller is switched to a state in which power is supplied to the controller in the second mode and when the power switcher is receiving no power from a commercial power source, the controller, based on particular information, switches, before a first processing, a power supply mode from the second mode to a first mode in which no power is supplied or switches the power supply mode from the second mode to the first mode after the first processing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus for selectively feeding printing media to an image former of a main body through a cassette and a multipurpose tray includes a tray feeder configured to feed printing media placed in the multipurpose tray, a cassette feeder configured to feed printing media placed in the cassette, a power train configured to transmit power generated from a driving motor, and a power switching unit configured to transmit power transmitted to the power train to the tray feeder or the cassette feeder as the multipurpose tray is moved to a use position or a non-use position.
Image forming apparatus
In an image forming apparatus, a CPU can perform in a normal mode and a low mode in which a photoconductive drum rotates at a rate m/n times the rotational rate in the normal mode, and lower than the rotational rate in the normal mode. In the low mode, the CPU causes a synchronizing signal generation portion to generate a line synchronizing signal at a cycle 1/m times the cycle of the line synchronizing signal generated in the normal mode, and causes a chip data conversion portion to transmit, to an exposure head, the same image data signal m times and transmit, to the exposure head, an image data signal that brings a light-emitting portion into no light emission n-m times, in synchronization with n number of line synchronizing signals.
