ELECTRICAL APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An electrical apparatus is provided with an opening portion in a side wall of an exterior member. The electrical apparatus includes a recessed portion formed on the side wall in a portion above the opening portion. The recessed portion has a lateral width in a width direction orthogonal to both a vertical direction and a depth direction, which is equal to or larger than a lateral width of the opening portion in the width direction.
METHOD OF PRINTING A PRINT JOB WITH DIGITAL FINISHING VISUALIZATION IMAGES
The present invention relates to a method of printing a print job by an image reproduction system. The print job specifies a printing step on an image receiving medium and a finishing step in or on the image receiving medium. The method comprises the steps of receiving the print job by the image reproduction system and receiving a trigger by a controller of the image reproduction system that the finishing step is not to be performed. In such a case for a digital image comprised in print job data of the print job, at least one digital finishing visualization image of a predetermined visual appearance of a result of the finishing step in or on the image receiving medium is obtained as well as a position of the digital image for merging the obtained at least one digital finishing visualization image with the digital image. The digital image is updated by merging the obtained at least one digital finishing visualization image with the digital image at the obtained position. The updated digital image is printed by the image reproduction system.
Electrophotographic member, process cartridge and electrophotographic apparatus
The present invention provides an electrophotographic member having excellent deformation recovery even when stored or used under a high temperature and high humidity environment, which is useful in forming a high-quality electrophotographic image; a process cartridge; and an electrophotographic apparatus. The electrophotographic member of the present invention includes a conductive mandrel and an electro-conductive layer; the electro-conductive layer including a resin synthesized from an ion conducting agent and a compound being able to react with the ion conducting agent; the ion conducting agent including a specific anion and a cation having at least three hydroxyl groups; the compound being able to react with the hydroxyl group.
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS
An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a surface layer containing a charge transporting material and a specific polyester resin having a structure including a specific branched chain.
ELECTRO-PHOTOGRAPHIC SHEET OF PAPER DUPLEX PRINTING MACHINE
The electro-photographic sheet of paper duplex printing machine includes a sheet supply section, a sheet positioning section which positions sheets and sends out sheets to a backup roller in an electro-photographic printing section, the electro-photographic printing section transfers an image which has been transferred onto the transfer roller onto the sheet, a chain delivery section, a delivery section and a sheet carrying section for turnover. The chain delivery section selectively transfers printed sheets, which has been transferred from the backup roller to the delivery section or sheet carrying section for turnover. The sheet carrying section for turnover supplies one side printed sheet to the sheet positioning section. The sheet fed from the sheet supply section and one side printed sheet fed from the sheet carrying section for turnover are alternately carried to the sheet positioning section and the toner image on the printed sheet is fixed by the fixing device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING PART LOCATION AND PREDICTING REPLACEMENT
A method and system for monitoring replaceable components of a work unit is disclosed. The method assigns an RFID tag to each wear part of a work unit. Prior to each operating cycle, the RFID tags are read and the RFID tags are correlated to corresponding wear parts. During operation of the work unit, operating parameters are read from the pumping unit and associated with each of the wear parts. A real-time life cycle status is determined for each of the wear parts based upon historic operating parameters and present operating parameters. Based upon the real-time life cycle status, the system and method of the present disclosure predicts the remaining wear life and relays this information to interested third parties. Interested third parties can then contact the equipment owner to provide information as to when parts need to be replaced prior to failure.
AXIALLY SHIFTING PHOTOCONDUCTIVE DRUM
A photoconductor unit for an electrophotographic image forming device according to one example embodiment includes a housing and a photoconductive drum rotatably mounted on the housing. An engagement member is positioned to receive an actuation force from an actuator of the image forming device. Upon receiving the actuation force, the engagement member shifts the photoconductive drum in an axial direction relative to an axis of rotation of the photoconductive drum.
DRUM UNIT, IMAGE FORMING UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A drum unit includes a photosensitive drum and a cleaning member. A scratch remaining depth measured by a scratch test of the photosensitive drum under a following Test Condition 1 is 110 nm or less. Test Condition 1 is; test environment temperature=25° C.; test environment humidity=50%; test indenter=pre-mount type Berkovich indenter; scratch direction=horizontal direction; scratch speed=20 μm/sec; initial load=0 mN; maximum reaching load=4 mN; and load at the time of measuring the scratch remaining depth=1.9 mN.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main assembly, a controller provided in the apparatus main assembly, an operating portion mounted to the apparatus main assembly, a cable configured to electrically connect the controller and the operating portion, the cable having a connectable length with the operating portion mounted at a predetermined position, and an accommodating portion provided in the apparatus main assembly and configured to accommodate an excessive length portion of the cable connected with the operating portion mounted to the apparatus main assembly, the accommodating portion including a space for accommodating the cable in a wound state.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus that, in a case where it is determined that a scaling ratio of the inputted image data does not exceed a predetermined threshold, executes processing for scaling the inputted image and then executes first detection processing that detects an amount of applied toner using image data after scaling, and in a case where it is determined that the scaling ratio of the inputted image data exceeds the predetermined threshold, executes second detection processing that detects the amount of applied toner using the inputted image data prior to scaling and then executes scaling processing after executing the second detection processing.
