A label forming method includes while transporting a base sheet having a print surface by a first transportation mechanism, forming a first pattern on the print surface and forming a marker at a prescribed position on the print surface; transporting the base sheet to a second transportation mechanism, the base sheet being transported by the first transportation mechanism and with the first pattern and the marker formed thereon; detecting a position of the marker on the base sheet; determining a position of the first pattern based on the prescribed position on the print surface and the detected marker position; deriving a position to form a second pattern according to the determined position of the first pattern; and while transporting the base sheet by the second transportation mechanism, forming a second pattern at the derived position.

The image forming apparatus also includes a toner supply port on which a supply container is mounted to supply toner to a toner containing portion of the development unit. The image forming apparatus further includes a non-contact communication portion including an antenna and configured to receive a signal for user authentication. The discharge tray, the toner supply port, and the non-contact communication portion are provided at an upper portion of the main body. The non-contact communication portion is provided outside the discharge tray when the main body is viewed from above.

A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit positioned downstream of the scanner, a user interface, and a controller. The user interface includes a resolution setting section configured to receive input for setting the resolution of the image to be scanned by the scanner, and a processing mode setting section configured to receive input for setting whether to execute scanning processing by the scanner and for setting whether to execute decoloring processing by the decoloring unit. The controller is configured to control contents of the user interface and to perform a mode limiting processing so that when one of the scanning processing and decoloring processing is set to be executed, the other of the scanning processing and decoloring processing cannot be set to be executed.

A folding speed of the folding mechanism section for the sheet bundle bound by the adhesive-binding unit is lower than a folding speed for the sheet bundle bound by the staple-binding unit; thereby, productivity of the folding processing is improved and occurrence of the peeling-off or break during the folding processing is reduced.
