A minute hand of a timepiece has a central arbor, on which, for driving around the same: a gearwheel is fixed in a first accommodating region, a flyback device is fixed in a second accommodating region, and a snail cam is arranged with an interference fit in a third accommodating region. The snail cam has an opening for accommodating the head of an eccentric and the flyback device has an opening for accommodating the finger of the eccentric, and therefore rotation of the eccentric head, via the flyback device fixed on the central arbor, makes it possible to rotate the snail cam by an angle about the central arbor relative to the gearwheel for setting the triggering point of the advancement operation by the minute control level.

Systems and methods for audio based synchronization using sound harmonics

Multiple audio files may be synchronized using harmonic sound included in audio content obtained from audio tracks. Individual audio tracks are partitioned into multiple temporal windows of a first and second temporal window length. Individual audio waveforms for individual temporal windows of the first and second window length are transformed into frequency space in which energy is represented as a function of frequency. Individual pitches and magnitudes of harmonic sound determined for individual temporal windows may be compared using a multi-resolution framework to correlate pitches and harmonic energy of multiple audio tracks to one another.

Electronic musical instrument system

Provided is an electronic musical instrument system. A PC is configured to perform an operation of emulating an analog synthesizer by a first software synthesizer. The PC installs a second software synthesizer to a hardware synthesizer on condition that the hardware synthesizer is confirmed to be the device corresponding to the second software synthesizer. The hardware synthesizer performs the operation of emulating the analog synthesizer by the second software synthesizer. The first software synthesizer and the second software synthesizer related to the operation of emulating the analog synthesizer have the same function respectively, and are capable of generating the same tone respectively, the effect of reproducing the same function and tone as the synthesizer that is to be emulated can be achieved respectively in two different devices, i.e. the PC and the hardware synthesizer.

Composition using correlation between melody and lyrics

Disclosed are ways to generate a melody. Currently, no algorithm exists for automatically composing a melody based on music lyrics. However, according to some recent studies, within a song, there usually exists a correlation between a song's notes and a song's lyrics wherein a melody can be generated based on such correlation. Disclosed herein, are systems, methods and algorithms that consider the correlation between a song's lyrics and a song's notes to compose a melody.

Automatic composition apparatus, automatic composition method and storage medium

An automatic composition apparatus includes a processing unit. The processing unit performs a note pitch shift process, a matching-level calculating process and a melody generating process. The note pitch shift process performs pitch shift on pitches of individual note data items included in an input phrase. The matching-level calculating process calculates a matching level between a phrase including note data items subjected to the pitch shift and a designated chord progression data item, with reference to a plurality of note connection rules each of which defines a connection relation of consecutive note types, if the pitch shift is performed. The melody generating process generates a melody based on the phrase which includes the note data items subjected to the pitch shift and which is selected based on the calculated matching level.

TIMEPIECE DISPLAY MECHANISM WITH A FAST CORRECTOR

A display mechanism including a mechanism for fast correction of a position of a display wheel set, an intermediate wheel set ensuring synchronization with an automatic drive mechanism, and, inserted between the intermediate wheel set and the display wheel set, a safety lever driven by the display wheel set during periodic driving thereof, in a trajectory that interferes with a spatial volume of the intermediate wheel set, such that, when the intermediate wheel set is correctly synchronized, the trajectory of the lever does not interfere with the intermediate wheel set, and, when the intermediate wheel set is not correctly synchronized, the trajectory of the safety lever interferes with the intermediate wheel set, which the safety lever then drives in an opposite direction to a single direction of normal operation, to resynchronize the intermediate wheel set.
