Hybrid smart watch multiple sources of time, multiple power sources, and multiple time indicator mechanisms
A hybrid wearable device comprising (A) a smart watch with at least a digital display, a general-purpose processor, an instruction and data memory, and a communications component, and (B) an alternate (mechanical, quartz, kinetic, or other) watch movement, that has these two components interact with each other and with the user.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display apparatus includes a first display area including a first display unit configured to generate light and a first encapsulation unit disposed on the first display unit; a second display area including a second display unit configured to generate light and a second encapsulation unit disposed on the second display unit; and a through area disposed between the first display area and the second display area. The first encapsulation unit includes a first encapsulation layer covering a first side of an area of the first display unit corresponding to the through area. The second encapsulation unit includes a second encapsulation layer covering a second side of an area of the second display unit corresponding to the through area.
Mask for manufacturing an organic light emitting display device, the mask including plurality of bridges to connect blocking plate to mask body
A display device including a substrate in which at least one hole area is disposed. The substrate includes an active area. The display device also includes a thin film encapsulation (TFE) layer disposed on the substrate. A pixel including a plurality of sub-pixels is disposed on the active area. A plurality of first and second pixel groups each include the sub-pixels. The first and second pixel groups are disposed along a plurality of first and second lines of the active area, respectively. The first and second lines are alternated in the active area. A first deposition portion forming the common layer or the common electrode is disposed in the first pixel groups disposed along the first lines of the active area. A second deposition portion forming the common layer or the common electrode is disposed in the second pixel groups disposed along the second lines of the active area.
MECHANICAL DIGITAL DISPLAY FOR TIMEPIECES
A digital display mechanism for the alphanumeric segment display of an integer magnitude whose instantaneous value is defined by an output of a timepiece movement, including a continuous display support guided along a particular trajectory by a guide device and driven in at least one direction of travel by a drive device, including at least a first display surface and a second display surface which are different from each other, each first surface or second surface forming only one part of an alphanumeric symbol, numeral or letter, and arranged to be visible to a user of the timepiece, each continuous display support being either a serrated belt driven by a serrated pinion complementary to the serration of the belt, or a chain driven by a pinion complementary to the articulation of the links of this chain.
Display device
A display device is configured such that a through-hole extends through a liquid crystal panel and a light guide plate, a fastener for coupling the hands of a watch is coupled to the through-hole, and the formation of a dark region is prevented due to interference between the fastener and light from a light source around the through-hole. At least one flat side surface for minimizing interference with the light from the light source is provided on the fastener, whereby uniform luminance is provided around the through-hole.
Symbiotic Smartwatch Displays
Aspects of the technology provide a symbiotic graphical display on a client device such as a smartwatch. The system includes at least one emissive display element and at least one non-emissive display element. The display elements are arrayed in layers or other configurations such that content or other information is concurrently aligned across the respective display surfaces of the different elements. A first set of content is rendered using the non-emissive display element while a second set of content is rendered using the emissive display element. Depending on characteristics or features of a given content item, that item may be rendered by one or both of the display elements. Certain content may be transitioned from the emissive display element to the non-emissive display element according to a time threshold or other criteria.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE WITH DECORATIVE PATTERN DIRECTLY THEREON
A liquid crystal display device, the display device including: two facing transparent substrates designated respectively front substrate and rear substrate, the front substrate being same disposed on the observer side, the front and rear substrates being provided on the inner faces thereof with transparent structured electrodes whereof the superposition defines shape pixels switchable between two optical states, the electrodes being connected to a voltage source via a control circuit, forming a cell closed by a sealing frame for receiving in the spaced delimited by the substrates and the sealing frame a liquid crystal composition; and a decorative pattern in direct contact with the front substrate or the rear substrate.
Watch with annual calendar setting and method therefor
A watch with annual calendar setting, the watch including at least one setting member configured to displace an hour hand and/or a minute hand, at least one detecting member configured to detect the date change, and at least one central processing unit configured to deduce the set date, to actuate the motor and to implement the annual calendar setting method.
Updating device and method therefor
A method for updating (500) the date for a watch implemented by an updating device (100). The updating method (500) including storing in memory the current date (171) according to a perpetual calendar programmed on a time zone (175), receiving a second signal (181) before verifying a first signal (131) after having received the second signal (181). A comparison is carried out between the second signal (181) and the current date (171) in order to control the driving of at least one date-disc (120) with a drive member (160) if the second portion (127) is different from the current date (171) until the first sensor (130) detects a first portion (126) of the at least one date-disc (120).
