GENERATING TIMER DATA
For generating timer data, a processor identifies a timer command from a command signal from an input device. The processor further identifies a timer interval and timer characteristics from the timer command. In addition, the processor generates timer data comprising a timer tag from the timer characteristics and the timer interval.
Drive switching apparatus
A drive switching apparatus includes an output member connected to a drive switching member and displacing the drive switching member to three shift positions by being rotated, a deceleration mechanism decelerating rotation of an input portion connected to an electric motor and outputting the rotation to an output portion, a rotation absorption mechanism including an elastic member interposed between an input element connected to the output portion and an output element connected to the output member, the rotation absorption mechanism absorbing rotation of the input element in a case where rotation of the output element is restricted during the rotation of the input element, and a switch operation portion provided at the output element, the switch operation portion turning a switch on and off according to a rotational position of the output member in order to detect the shift positions of the drive switching member.
MICROFLUIDIC ELAPSED TIME INDICATOR
An elapsed time indicator comprises a reservoir of a fluid, a porous sheet element and a fluid port located between the reservoir and the porous sheet element. The porous sheet element defines a predetermined area which is separated from the fluid port by a predetermined lateral distance. The fluid is selectively provided from the reservoir to the porous sheet element through the fluid port whereupon the porous sheet element transmits the fluid laterally through the porous sheet element at a predetermined rate away from the fluid port until the fluid impregnates the predetermined area of the porous sheet element so as to cause the predetermined area of the porous sheet element to become transparent or more transparent after expiry of a predetermined time period.

Method and device for synchronizing sensors
A method for synchronizing sensors. A ratio of a first data rate of the first sensor to the second data rate of the second sensor is 2.sup.n, where n is an element from the set of natural numbers. A central timer is started. A first countdown timer is generated based on the central timer and the first data rate, and a second countdown timer is generated based on the central timer and the second data rate. The first countdown timer and the second countdown timer are started periodically. The measurement by the first sensor begins at the latest when a first latency equals the value of the first countdown timer, and the measurement by the second sensor begins at the latest when the second latency equals the value of the second countdown timer.
ILLUMINATION AND HYGIENE ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
An illumination and hygiene assistance apparatus includes a housing, a power supply, a light disposed on the housing, the light configured to be operable when power is supplied to the apparatus by the power supply, a first actuatable button disposed on the housing, a second actuatable button disposed on the housing, and a timer disposed within the housing, the timer having a display visible to a user, where the display of the timer is configured to notify the user after a first time period has passed from when the user has actuated the first button, and to notify the user after a second time period has passed from when the user has actuated the second button, the first and second time periods being of different duration.
Retrofit Curtain Assembly
A curtain assembly for hanging a shortened, lighter curtain from existing curtain ceiling tracks. The assembly uses adjustable height hangers to connect the commercially available track to existing curtain systems and a lightweight disposable curtain to hang therefrom. The brackets to attach the track to the room walls and one bracket allows for the vertical insertion of the curtain hooks onto the track. A quick load bracket gathers the curtain hooks for vertical installation through the brackets. The curtain can be installed simply and quickly by one person without a ladder.
Switches for medication container caps
One example cap assembly includes a printed circuit board (PCB) having first and second electrical contacts; a switch coupled to the PCB at the first electrical contact, the switch comprising a switching member comprising: a coupling feature coupling a first end of the switching member to the PCB at the first electrical contact; a first portion extending adjacent to the first side of the PCB from the coupling feature; a second portion extending through an opening through the PCB; and a third portion extending adjacent to the second side of the PCB; a second electrical contact formed on the second side of the PCB; wherein: the third portion of the switching member contacts the second electrical contact in a rest position, the third portion biased towards the rest position; and deflection of the first portion towards the PCB causes the third portion to break contact with the second electrical contact.
Switch actuation device
A switch actuation device for use in connection with electrical switch mechanism having an actuatable structure. The device includes an actuation mechanism in operable communication with the actuatable structure for use in urging the actuatable structure of the electrical switch mechanism from a first position to a second position. An actuatable electrical switch arrangement is also disclosed.
MONITORING OF A TIME PERIOD RELATING TO A PRODUCT
A label includes a timer to monitor a predetermined time period relating to a medical device, such as an indwelling cannula, or other product. The label includes a signalling apparatus that provides an alert signal on expiry of the predetermined time period and a fixing portion to fix the label to a support surface such as medical records of a patient. The label can have a first portion and a second portion and the first portion can be separable from the second portion. The fixing portion can be provided in the second portion and all or part of the signalling apparatus provided in the first portion. Also disclosed is a monitoring system for a medical device, including a base station and a label receivable by the base station. The monitoring system monitors a predetermined time period based on receipt of the label by the base station.
