Time validation indicator
A time validation indicator is disclosed comprising at least a receiving layer and an activating layer. The receiving layer comprises at least one or more masking colorants and one or more deactivators that cause and maintain the one or more masking colorants in an initial colored state. The activating layer comprises at least one or more migratory activators that migrate into the receiving layer upon at least a portion of the receiving layer being placed in contact with at least a portion of the activating layer to initiate a predetermined time period. The migration of the one or more migratory activators into the receiving layer causes at least a portion of the one or more masking colorants to advance to a final colorless state resulting in a visual color change of the receiving layer that indicates the predetermined time period has elapsed. Also disclosed are methods for creating and using the inventive time validation indicator.
Time validation indicator

Timing system and device and method for making the same
A timing device for indicating the passage of a duration of time is disclosed. The timing device and system, in accordance with the embodiments of the invention, comprise an electrochemical component which generates a visual and/or audio indication of the passage of time. The timing device further comprises a compensating element, such as a varistor, a thermistor and/or combinations thereof. The compensating element regulates the response of the device with respect to changes in temperature. The timing device is configured to indicate the passage of a single duration of time or comprises zones that are activated in a range of prescribed times and individually or collectively indicate the passage of time or the passage of a range of times.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING AN ALERT
One embodiment provides a method, including: determining a first bending angle of a flexible body of an electronic device; deriving a timing duration in accordance with the first bending angle of the flexible body; controlling the first bending angle of the flexible body until the first bending angle of the flexible body gradually becomes a target bending angle at the end of the timing duration; and providing an alert upon the first bending angle of the flexible body becoming the target bending angle at the end of the timing duration. METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING AN ALERT
One embodiment provides a method, including: determining a first bending angle of a flexible body of an electronic device; deriving a timing duration in accordance with the first bending angle of the flexible body; controlling the first bending angle of the flexible body until the first bending angle of the flexible body gradually becomes a target bending angle at the end of the timing duration; and providing an alert upon the first bending angle of the flexible body becoming the target bending angle at the end of the timing duration. TIMER BASED ON CHEMICAL SENSING
An elapsed timer device includes a timer element comprising a timer chamber, a timer chamber conditioning material disposed within the timer chamber, and a sensor arranged to sense a timer chemical within the timer chamber. The sensor indicates elapsed time in response to a threshold level of the chemical being present within the timer chamber. The timer chamber, timer chemical adsorption/desorption characteristics of the timer chamber conditioning material, and the sensor are configured so that an amount of the timer chemical within the timer chamber reaches the threshold level within a predetermined time after initialization of the timer element.
TIMER BASED ON CHEMICAL SENSING
An elapsed timer device includes a timer element comprising a timer chamber, a timer chamber conditioning material disposed within the timer chamber, and a sensor arranged to sense a timer chemical within the timer chamber. The sensor indicates elapsed time in response to a threshold level of the chemical being present within the timer chamber. The timer chamber, timer chemical adsorption/desorption characteristics of the timer chamber conditioning material, and the sensor are configured so that an amount of the timer chemical within the timer chamber reaches the threshold level within a predetermined time after initialization of the timer element.
Smart clip
A method and apparatus for receiving an expiry time in a smart clip and one of timing and counting down to the expiry time comprises coupling an electronic receiver to the smart clip and connecting a timer to the electronic receiver are disclosed. Receiving the expiry time by the electronic receiver, and one of timing and counting down to the expiry time by the timer are also disclosed. Other features and embodiments of the invention are also disclosed.
Minute countdown clock
An improved minute countdown clock is provided that depicts the 24-hour day in terms of the number of remaining minutes, rather than in the standard 12-hour cycle. The present clock counts down the number of minutes that are left in the day, unlike a standard clock that depicts the amount of time that has passed in two separate cycles. The present invention may come in either analog or digital varieties. The present invention breaks time into smaller increments in order to reprogram individuals' concept and perception of passing time, to facilitate motivation to accomplish more goals, and finally to create a sense of value and ownership of personal time. Furthermore, the constant countdown creates a sense of urgency by helping people recognize that time is valuable and is lost once it passes.
