Hand Washing Timer Kit
A hand washing timer kit that displays a countdown timer for an appropriate hand washing session along with hand washing instructions. The hand washing timer kit has a water dispenser to dispense a quantity of water and a soap dispenser to dispense a quantity of soap, wherein both the water and the soap are dispensed in a touchless manner using an infrared proximity sensor system. The timer displays the countdown from a preconfigured maximum value to zero to allow a user to wash the hands for the desired duration. The instruction display displays the hand washing instructions throughout the duration of the washing session, and an integrated speaker plays the hand washing instructions and/or the countdown. The sensor system detects when soap has been dispensed, and delays the availability of water until the washing session duration has elapsed.
SONIC GENERATOR FOR USE WITH A TIMING AND DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR A LIVE SPORTING EVENT
A sonic generator for use with timing and data collection systems is a button activated device operated by a referee during a live sporting event. It can be hand-held or integrated with a referee's belt pack and replaces a conventional exhalation-powered whistle. It can be configured to record and replay a custom sonic signal, a sonic signal selected from a database of pre-recorded sounds, or a standard sonic signal such as a generic whistle sound. Each sonic generator generates a unique sonic signal which is compared to digitally stored sonic fingerprints at a given sporting event to identify a match, and starts or stops the game clock in response to that match. This prevents inadvertent game clock starts and stops resulting from ambient noise. The sonic generator can be configured as a two-way voice communication system to allow referees to communicate with other game officials.
Method for cook time synchronization
A method for cook time synchronization includes synchronizing a cook time in one of a plurality of cooking appliances to a user selected remaining cook time from one of the other of the plurality of cooking appliances. The method also includes: (1) transmitting, to the one of the plurality of cooking appliances, a remaining cook time from each of the other of the plurality of cooking appliances over a network; and/or (2) requesting, at the one of the plurality of cooking appliances, the remaining cook time from each of the other of the plurality of cooking appliances over the network in response to a user input at the one of the plurality of cooking appliances.
Electronic device and method for controlling snooze notification
A method of controlling a notification output from an electronic device according to the present invention may comprise the steps of: outputting notification information; display a snoozing time setting object; using the displayed snoozing time setting object and setting a snoozing time; and executing a snoozing mode for the notification information, and re-outputting the notification information after the selected snoozing time elapses. However, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment and may include other embodiments.
System and method for managing a countdown timer
A method for managing a first countdown timer, the method comprising the steps of: receiving (201) a request to set the first countdown timer to a first time value; starting (202) the first countdown timer; receiving (203) a request to reset the first countdown timer; letting (204) the first countdown timer expire; setting up (205) a second countdown timer with the time being equal to said first time value minus a difference between said first countdown timer expiry time and said receiving of the request to reset the first countdown timer; starting (206) the second countdown timer.
Integrated ultralong time constant time measurement device and fabrication process
An ultralong time constant time measurement device includes elementary capacitive elements that are connected in series. Each elementary capacitive element is formed by a stack of a first conductive region, a dielectric layer having a thickness suited for allowing charge to flow by direct tunnelling effect, and a second conductive region. The first conductive region is housed in a trench extending from a front face of a semiconductor substrate down into the semiconductor substrate. The dielectric layer rests on the first face of the semiconductor substrate and in particular on a portion of the first conductive region in the trench. The second conductive region rests on the dielectric layer.
Hand washing timer
A hands-free visual timer enables a person to wash his or hands for the duration of time recommended by the Center for Disease Control. Upon activation, the timer displays an annular ring of thirty triangles and a first icon. After five seconds have passed, a second icon is displayed indicating the user should apply soap. After twenty-five seconds, a third icon is displayed indicating the user should rinse. After thirty seconds, the screen goes blank and all the triangles have disappeared. The central display of triangles is illuminated by a liquid crystal display. The icons are illuminated by light emitting diodes.
Timer, electronic apparatus, and vehicle
A timer includes a timing counter configured to generate a timing datum, a clock pulse signal generation circuit configured to generate a clock pulse signal used to operate the timing counter, and an interface circuit configured to receive an access signal, wherein the timing counter is an asynchronous counter, and the clock pulse signal generation circuit generates the clock pulse signal having a first pulse width when there is a possibility that the interface circuit receives the access signal, and generates the clock pulse signal having a second pulse width longer than the first pulse width when there is no possibility that the interface circuit receives the access signal.
