Intelligent, data gathering and communicating portable restrooms
A portable restroom includes an automatic continuous flushing feature and a touchless flush request sensor. An automatic light provides welcome lighting in darker locations. An electric fan increases ventilation and reduces odor and temperature in the restroom. Sensors monitor various levels and usage of consumables. A processor monitors the sensed data and wirelessly alerts a service provider when the restroom needs service. A flushing bowl is placed in the commode opening to hide the waste within the tank. The flushing bowl includes a relatively small opening in a forward portion of the inner bowl surface for waste to pass through. A spray nozzle for directing water over the interior of the bowl is provided to minimize the chance that waste sticks to the inner bowl.
Prefab Utility Wall
The invention presents a 7 foot by 6 inch wide utility wall. This prefab wall simplifies the installation of water/drain pipes and electric service for low cost housing and comprising complete plumbing and electric installation.
The wall is comprised of a shower base or bathtub, toilet, sink, water heater, lighting, washing machine and dryer hook-up, as well as a complete electric service including a breaker box, electric outlets and light fixtures. The wall also contains pipes for a sink drain and for hot/cold water for an attached kitchen. The utility wall requires no underground plumbing.
Commercial storefront spaces retrofitted for alternative uses and related technology
A real estate unit in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present technology includes an interior space within a commercial building, and a reusable bathroom removably disposed within the commercial building. The commercial building can include a storefront between the interior space and an outdoor area. The real estate unit can further include reusable wall components removably disposed within the commercial building. For example, the interior space can be within a compartment at least partially defined by the reusable wall components. In at least some cases, the interior space is a purpose-built retail, office, and/or restaurant space. The real estate unit can be a lodging unit, a rentable residential unit, a rentable office unit, and/or a rentable assembly unit.
