According to certain embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device and manufacturing method are disclosed. The electronic device includes: a housing including a first face, a second face, and a side member surrounding a space defined between the first face and the second face, a support member within the housing such that a side face of the support member is oriented towards an inner wall of the side member, a circuit board mounted on one face of the support member, an electrically conductive plate mounted on a second face, and a contact member mounted on the support member to electrically couple at least a portion of the side member to the circuit board, wherein the contact member includes an end portion adjacent to the plate, and an end face of the end portion includes a width smaller than a width of another portion of the contact member.
POINTER CONTROLLER AND POINTER CONTROL METHOD
A pointer controller includes at least one processor; and a display that includes a pointer. The at least one processor is configured to control the display so as to display an elapsed time, switching between (i) a first display mode for display of the elapsed time cumulatively by causing, upon resumption of display, movement of the pointer that inherits a previous display time and (ii) a second display mode for display of the elapsed time non-cumulatively by causing, upon resumption of display, movement of the pointer that does not inherit the previous display time. The movement of the pointer controlled by the at least one processor is such that the first display mode and the second display mode differ from each other in a way of movement that indicates how the pointer moves.
Implementing time display on a watch based on whether a wearer has looked at the watch
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for displaying information, a program, and a communication system, which enable the provision of an apparatus making use of a display device excellent in flexibility. An information display apparatus includes a display unit including a time information presenting section for presenting at least time information and a band section to be worn on an arm, and a display control unit for changing a display of the display unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, the information display apparatus.

A HYBRID MECHANICAL SMART TIMEKEEPER SUCH AS A WATCH
The hybrid timekeeper, such as a watch, comprises a classical part with at least a mechanical movement with hands to indicate a time measure on a dial, a crown and a rotating winding mass, and a smart module, both classical part and smart module being combined in a same watch case. The timekeeper in combination with a portable phone can be the parts of a general communication ecosystem.
Audible Wrist Watch Assembly
An audible wrist watch assembly includes a wrist watch that is wearable on a user's wrist. An audio unit is coupled to the wrist watch and the audio unit emits a plurality of time alerts. The audio unit emits each of the time alerts upon the respective hour of the day to audibly communicate the hour of the day to a visually impaired user. A reminder unit is coupled to the wrist watch and the reminder unit stores a plurality of verbal reminders. Each of the verbal reminders is programmable to correspond to a respective hour of the day. Moreover, the reminder unit audibly emits each of the verbal reminders at the respective hour of the day to remind the user to perform a task at a certain time.
Information processing apparatus, control method, and program
There is provided an information processing apparatus, control method, and program that allow for recognition of a state of an arm on the basis of determination of whether the information processing apparatus is worn on the left arm or the right arm, the information processing apparatus including: a determination unit configured to determine whether the information processing apparatus is worn on a user's right arm or left arm; a recognition unit configured to recognize a state of the arm; and a control unit configured to perform predetermined control on a device included in the information processing apparatus according to the recognized state of the arm. The recognition unit switches settings of a parameter which is used in the recognition of the state of the arm, according to a result of the determination by the determination unit.
DE-MUX DRIVING ARCHITECTURE, CIRCULAR DISPLAY PANEL AND SMART WATCH
The present invention relates to a De-mux driving architecture, a circular display panel and a smart watch. The De-mux driving architecture includes a data driving chip, a multiplexing unit, and a shift register. Wherein each multiplexing unit includes a data input terminal for connecting a corresponding data line derived from the data driving chip, N control terminals used for respectively inputting corresponding N control signals from the shift register, and the N data output terminals used for respectively outputting N channels of data. Wherein each shift register includes a first input terminal for inputting a start signal, a second input terminal for inputting a clock signal, and N output terminals for respectively outputting N control signals to N control terminals of the multiplexing unit. The present invention can realize a larger screen occupation ratio, and beneficial for realizing the extremely narrow design of the lower border of the panel.
Wearable electronic device with electrodes for sensing biological parameters
An electronic device, such as a watch, has a housing to which a carrier is attached. The carrier has a first surface interior to the electronic device, and a second surface exterior to the electronic device. A set of electrodes is deposited on the exterior surface of the carrier. An additional electrode is operable to be contacted by a finger of a user of the electronic device while the first electrode is positioned against skin of the user. The additional electrode may be positioned on a user-rotatable crown of the electronic device, on a button of the electronic device, or on another surface of the housing of the electronic device. A processor of the electronic device is operable to determine a biological parameter of the user based on voltages at the electrodes. The biological parameter may be an electrocardiogram.
