Reward clock
The present invention is directed to devices that may be used to help young children stay in bed or their room until it is time to get up. The device may be configured as a clock. The clock may be programmable to have a duration of a nap time, or a time when the child is able to get up. A visual countdown timer may be provided with the device (e.g., on the clock face), which may include a graphical representation of the remaining fraction of time before get up time. The visual countdown timer may not include number indicia, but rather includes a graphic (e.g., ring extending about the perimeter of the clock face), which gradually diminishes as the predetermined get up time is approached. A reward drawer may also be provided, which automatically unlocks at the get up time, and provides the child with a prize.
HOME SCREEN FOR WEARABLE DEVICES
A wearable device receives user configuration data that provides user-specific information for stored use cases and generates a personalized use case database based on the stored use cases and the user-specific information. The wearable device obtains location, sensor, time, and peripheral state data and detects a meaningful change in a most recent data instance of the location, sensor, time, or peripheral state data over an earlier data instance of the location, sensor, time, and peripheral state data. The wearable device determines if the most recent data instance corresponds to a particular use case in the personalized use case database; presents on a display a new home-screen experience, including multiple application user interfaces for the particular use case, when the most recent data instance corresponds to the particular use case; and changes a hardware state to enable use of the multiple application user interfaces in the new home-screen experience.
Apparatus and Method for Displaying Information, Program, and Communication System
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for displaying information, a program, and a communication system, which enable the provision of an apparatus making use of a display device excellent in flexibility.
An information display apparatus includes a display unit including a time information presenting section for presenting at least time information and a band section to be worn on an arm, and a display control unit for changing a display of the display unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, the information display apparatus.

GPS features and functionality in an athletic watch system
Athletic performance monitoring systems include GPS data to enhance various features of the workout as well as the post-workout data analysis. Such features include using output from multiple sensors to determine the most accurate data available for providing distance measurements for individual segments of a route. The most accurate data for each route segment, from whatever source, then is used to provide the overall route distance and as the basis for making other calculations, such as pace, calorie burn, etc. Another feature relates to the ability to both input and output geographically tagged messages while moving along a route during an athletic performance.
Method of authentic user of electronic device, and electronic device for performing the same
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes one or more processors that, while the electronic device is in a locked state, control to detect whether the electronic device is lifted, in response to detecting that the electronic device is lifted, control to activate the display, obtain an image from a camera, detect a face included in the image, and perform authentication of a user based on the face being detected in the image. Based on a result of the authentication, the one or more processors switch a state of the electronic device from the locked state to an unlocked state and display an indicator for indicating that the electronic device is in the unlocked state.
Analog electronic timepiece
The analog electronic timepiece includes rotatable plural hands, a current position acquisition unit, a processor and a counting unit. The current position acquisition unit acquires a current position and stores local time settings therein. The local time settings include time zones and daylight saving time implementation information in each area. The processor rotates the plural hands, reads and acquires a local time setting corresponding to the acquired current position from the current position acquisition unit, and selects and sets a time zone. The counting unit counts the local time, based on a later action which the processor performs either the acquired local time setting or the set time zone. The processor controls at least one of the plural hands to display a local time determination result as to whether the counted local time is based on the acquired local time setting in correspondence to the current position.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, DISPLAY-UNIT SETTING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An electronic device is communicatively connected to an electronic terminal configured to display an output value of a sensor. The electronic device includes a storage unit and a processor. The storage unit is stores a first city to be set in the electronic terminal. The processor fixes or changes a display-unit of the output value of the sensor to be displayed on the electronic terminal, based on the first city and a display language set in an OS of the electronic device.
