Watch with decorative display layer
An electronic device that includes a display assembly comprising a display, a texture layer, a transmissive and reflective layer, and a cover layer. The display includes an upper surface on which visual data is displayed and from which light is emitted. The texture layer includes a lower surface having a first texture with structural components and a second texture with structural components that are different from structural components of the first texture. The transmissive and reflective layer is positioned between the display and the texture layer and includes a first texture with structural components that are complementary to the structural components of the first texture of the texture layer and a second texture with structural components that are complementary to the structural components of the second texture of the texture layer. The cover layer is positioned above the texture layer and forms an upper surface of the display assembly.
ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE
In an electronic timepiece, a dial ring is disposed in an outer peripheral portion of a dial inside an exterior case. Opening portions are disposed in the dial ring. An inner rotation ring is rotatably disposed inside the dial ring. A plurality of additional displays for displaying display content other than time are disposed in the inner rotation ring. One of the plurality of additional displays is visible through the opening portions by rotating the inner rotation ring. The electronic timepiece includes a control unit that controls a rotation amount of the inner rotation ring and an indicating hand that indicates the additional display.
Physical watch hands for a computerized watch
A computerized watch is described that includes a cover that forms an outer surface of the computerized watch, a screen configured to output graphical information for display, a set of physical watch hands positioned between the cover and the screen and configured to present a time of day. One or more computer processors and a memory comprising instructions. The instructions, when executed, cause the one or more computer processors to responsive to determining that the computerized watch is operating in a time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical watch hands present the time of day by obscuring a portion of a display region of the screen, and responsive to determining that the computerized watch is not operating in the time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical hands do not obscure the screen.
